I've been off these boards since I quit FFXI but some of the names are looking familiar. Cerberus Rata?

Top3 worst of the worst of all time ever list.
I plan to start it off by testing out the housing system as well as joining the fisherman's guild
I'm just gonna level whatever looks fun at the time using whatever methods of leveling are available at that point...
I know that people are worried about having to grind something later on after they spend their Main Quest XP, but honestly, if I slow-grind a job to max instead of taking the easy track, I'll usually be better at the job upon hitting cap. After all, isn't everyone always griping about people who power-level something and end up sucking at that job during end-game content? I remember well the complaints in XI about power-leveled > Mana-burned > Arrow-Burned > Astral-Burned > Sync-leveled > Conquest-leveled > Abyssea-leveled, and so-on, players sucking at their jobs because they didn't have to use their skills/spells leveling up, and so they knew nothing about them later on.
Besides that, they will PROBABLY add in more ways to level. They said in some feedback reply list, in response to someone asking for them making mob-grinding (ala early XI) viable for XPing, to which they responded that they wanted players to level through content instead of grinding away in XP camps. If they intend to stick by that statement, then they're probably going to add more ways to get XP that are on par with questing/hunting log. I think they're going to shift more focus onto Fates and Dungeons.
Hell, in the 2 days that I played Phase3, I was constantly running into Fates just in the process of regular questing, and coming away with huge chunks of XP from them. I think the pattern will probably be (after you're depleted your quests) that you queue up for a Dungeon in the Duty Finder, grab some Leves, and hit up a Fate or 2 whilst completing them. Each one of these is going to give you XP similar to what the quests gave you (at least, they did in my limited experiences), plus whatever the mobs themselves give you. Rinse and Repeat.
Aren't there supposed to be a bunch Grand Company quests that haven't even been implemented yet? I remember that being the main reason FATEs gave GC seals, to act as a temporary placeholder. That might be another source of XP.
I suspect any unimplemented GC quests are one-time only things, which just throws them in the pile of other quests (anything 20+) that weren't implemented in Phase 3, so that doesn't really solve anything.
Unless you were referring to GC leves, which were implemented already, and aren't any better for exp (possibly worse) than your regular leves.
Also forced to solo them, which is pretty dicks.
Aren't you forced to solo all leves?
Edit: Oh I guess not, since I heard shit about leve-linking; but GC Leves were always solo in 1.0 etc maybe that's what I'm on about
You can't use your chocobo for GC leves, you're considered in a party with it out.
Difficulty isn't my issue with it anyway, it'd just be nice to be able to do them with friends. Seems completely unnecessary when battleleves work just fine in groups. Shit's an MMO, stop forcing me to solo.
Just hoping that ACN is not in P4, so i can gather aetherites do class quest and arranges macros and shit, so i can start playing for real during head start
hoping it is so i can get it to 50 and continue being masterrace as i put all smn/sch shit in locker
