It's not great in Toronto, and with the Gardiner reduced to one lane eastbound for the long term starting tomorrow, it's going to be a motherfucking nightmare in downtown Toronto come October.

I think the Transit system in Toronto is quite good. There bus system is more efficient then Vancouver's. The only issue is how shady some of the subway stations are.

I was speaking more to the subway. I've never taken a bus in Toronto.

I will say that public transit in Kitchener is pathetic, though. It's faster to walk to the Aud from my house than it is to try and bus there.

It's the state government vs the city government here though, and the majority of it is private funding.

It still looks hilarious because of the bankruptcy stuff, but it should be a good thing for the city in the long run.

It has a ton of history and is cool because of that and the "character" and what not, but it's old as fuck, and feels even older than it actually is.

It's like Chelios. A lot of people love him and he would bring some intangibles, but that doesn't the change the fact that he's old as fuck and doesn't cut it anymore.

to be honest, I'm actually surprised that 34 years is considered old. Over half a billion dollars seems pretty steep for something that'll only last 35 years. I'm living in a 100 year old house right now and it seems like no big deal. Admittedly I don't know anything about urban planning/arenas/houses/etc., but why couldn't they just do renovations? I dunno, just seems strange to me.
