Guess missing the game for class wasn't so bad for tonight.

Red Wings making a mockery of the eastern conference lol
Well, rivalry is definitely born. Medvec I expect to get a few games for his intentional elbow on Schiefele with the way Shannabans been going at it lately.
suspending for pre-season games is lulzy...
Where are you guys watching pre-season games?
Also this..
Some games have been on NHL Network, I'd imagine some teams have been broadcasting on local tv, tonight's Hawks game was the first one shown so far this preseason.
Still trying to figure out the 1st goal....

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...assic-in-2015/Washington Capitals to host NHL Winter Classic in 2015

Four years after the Capitals first took part in the NHL’s marquee outdoor game, the Winter Classic will come to Washington.
Capitals majority owner Ted Leonsis will announce Saturday morning that the team will host the 2015 NHL Winter Classic, according to a league source. The Capitals declined to comment.
The location of the contest and the Capitals’ opponent for it is still unknown, but considering Nationals owner Mark Lerner is a minority partner in Leonsis’s Monumental Sports and Entertainment, Nationals Park in Southeast Washington may be a likely candidate. The Nationals lease the ballpark from the District, though, and would not have exclusive control over such a decision.
While there are several stadium options in the region, including FedEx Field, RFK Stadium or perhaps even Oriole Park at Camden Yards, one unconventional venue was ruled out by Leonsis years ago.
In January 2012, Leonsis wrote on his blog that the Mall would not be a location option for a Classic in Washington.
“The idea of a game being played on the Mall has been floated around for many years – it is NOT feasible; there aren’t enough common areas to build out seats,” Leonsis wrote on Jan. 3, 2012. “And the expense involved to create locker rooms; ice stands and studios are prohibitive. The Mall is managed by the National Park Service, as well.”
Sky Kerstein of 106.7 The Fan was the first to report that an outdoor game was coming to the Washington area next season.
The Capitals captured a 3-1 victory over the Penguins in the 2011 Winter Classic at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. That year’s Classic marked the first time participating teams were featured on HBO’s “24/7” series in a run-up to the contest.
Since the Capitals took their initial turn in the NHL’s brightest regular season spotlight, Leonsis sought not only to participate in one of the outdoor showcases but to host one.
The outside games have sorta lost their appeal with me sadly.
Wow @ the Nuge getting 6M a year. No doubt this kid is good, but why not wait a year. I predicted the Oilers would shot themselves in the foot with all this power, and it's coming true. They have so much money into those players and nothing to support them. Edmonton ain't no Pittsburgh or Chicago in forming winning teams to win Cups.
With the way things are, 1 of them will have to at some point to build a 4th line, a set of top 4 D-men and get a goalie. And for the love of god, don't say Dubnyk is that goalie.
Hahaha, Dubnyk is so far from a solid number 1, I agree with you there. Khabibulin would have been a great goalie on this Oiler team... 10 years ago. They have 1 solid top 2 Defensemen and nothing much else beyond that. As good as the front end of that team is (and it's fucking stacked), the back end is so weak lol.
Edit: With Hall, Eberle and the Nuge all getting $6mil/yr contracts, it'll be really interesting to see how they handle Yakupov and Schultz who's entry level contracts expire in the next couple years.
IMPORTANT: Just saw a Caps Jose Theodore shirsey in the wild.
