Glendale's problems aren't the Coyotes. All of Arizona is fucked, including Phoenix - massive foreclosures everywhere, one of the worst regions in the whole country, maybe even worse than Detroit in some pockets.

It's not a great arena in not a great location in not a hockey area, housing a team that is usually average-ish, and has little appeal beyond how good the team is, has no winning tradition... So anyone taking over has an uphill battle. Even the best ownership would have trouble running the team.

Pascal Dupuis has signed a 4 year contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Holy fuck this is what I'm reduced to watching since hockey is done?!
"Mayor we have motion on the floor. We need to have a discussion about the motion on the floor before we cover the ordinance and ..."zzzzzzzzzzz
Dupuis gets a four year contract in Pitt.
Doesn't even sound like the Mayor wants to vote tonight. I thought Bettman said either a deal gets made tonight or the team is gone?
3.75 mil cap hit.

1 in 113 homes recieving a foreclosure filing in 2012 Q3 - over the great recession period up until now you're talking probably 1 in 30 homes foreclosing and 1 in 20 having some foreclosing filing at least.
I am genuinely amused by this meeting whenever actual numbers start popping up.
Well, it's only 9 PM in Arizona, so they have three more hours to figure out if they want to colossally fuck themselves over for no real reason or not.
I like that their concern is not making money, but simply not losing more than 6M per year so that it doesn't eviscerate their budget.
I knew that Randy dude would show up lol.

At least another hour hearing public comment in Glendale.
And on that note, good night! fuck this!
And now to hear from a bunch of people begging Glendale to validate their poor business decisions.
No work tomorrow, so I'll stay up for this gong show.
I'm in the same boat but I'll be playing Tales of Graces F while I listen haphazardly to these people. I've never understood why people feel that their city should make a decision that favours their unsustainable business instead of putting the city's welfare first.
"I need to make money off you losing money!" is not a legitimate reason to keep the team there.
Oh hey, this guy gets it.
This speaker really gets it.
I own a business that will go out of business slightly slower if the Coyotes don't leave, please throw millions of dollars at their ownership group
People come from Canada to play hockey in a place where it doesn't even snow?
I don't think so pal.
