Offense isn't even the real issue in Philly. Thats more just a by product of signing him. The issue is you still don't have any defense or a goaltender.

His defense is that he sent his ballot before he was told to put Ovi as a RW. And the rule is to vote how it shows up on NHL.com.

Although Greenberg (WAS) says that the notice for Ovi as RW came the day after the ballots went out, and there was still over a week of hockey left.

So his only defense is that he went by the letter of the rules, and sent in his ballot with ~10% of the season left to be played.
