Calgary trades an old guy who used to be good and a crappy defenseman for a younger guy who isn't very good and a crappy defenseman.
Jay Feaster certainly does things

In honor of Jay Feaster doing a thing I will go get a sandwich
I know it does actually matter in terms of team/line balance, but it's maybe a bad sign when one of the top three things you can say about a new acquisition is that he's right-handed.
"Well, we're big fans of how he was born with eyebrows, we've had issues in the past with players who didn't have any.."
I actuallu think David Jones is a semi decent player
Joking aside, due to the contracts and players on the team I don't think Torts will be as bad as people think.
He has potential and had a good season in '10-'11 but hasn't done shit recently. Makes $500,000 more than Tanguay.
its official, I got the day after the Penguins @ Columbus Sunday road game off work to go.
No more hockey, but CFL fans can rejoice! With that, I'm out to the pub!

Hearing that Letang camp informed Penguins earlier tonight that they were turning down an 8-year contract offer worth around $56 million...
Re: Letang
No word yet on if there are further negotiations coming or if he's essentially on the trade market now. Pens asked for a quick answer and/or counteroffer. No word on where it stands, but to me it sounds like this was a "best and final offer" kind of situation.

Also told that Letang camp counter-offered with a long-term deal which would pay less than $8 M (north of $7.5 M); Pens said too high
Letang is not a 7-7.5m a year defenseman.
