I use WinRar. Not sure if which chunk you click matters, but I always click the 0 file or whatever generally could be called the "first" of the broken chunks. Yet to have a problem dealing with segmented files like that.

I asked something similar to this in the tech thread concerning downloaded PS2 games. If you download in .rar or .zip format, when you extract it and there's multiple files involved try extracting the very first file as well. It's usually blahblahblah.001

Suggest some games? Never had the desire/time for a PSP. No idea what was released that's worthwhile.

I'll play anything that's entertaining. Give a fuck about genre.

If you're gonna put MGS:PO, why not Peace Walker as well? I enjoyed PW far more than PO, but they're pretty similar.

edit: Forgot PW is on HD collection, yeah, you could probably avoid it for the PSP.

On the topic of PSP vidya, still going stong with Ys 7, made it to Segram.. barely after that annoying fucking piece of shit mid-boss (yes not a real boss) Ghilda Ros clubbed the everlasting fuck out of my party for a good hour.

This is a bit off-topic but it was the more recent thread so I figured I would ask here.

so I tried reverting my psp from CFW to normal firmware. I have 5.50 Prome-4 CFW currently. I tried just updating the PSP to the network, but there was a connection error. I tried downloading the update from their website and then creating PSP > GAME > UPDATE > EBOOT.PHP and then in the system going to >game>update and then "blah blah you have 9.90 you can't go to 6.60"

So I read up that when you press select to set the USB device to Flash 0 and save and exit then it will fix it. It did not.

plugged in another memory stick to try doing through their website again and when I was downloading the EBOOT I accidentally cancelled out of USB mode thinking the download was finished.

Red screen of death. My psp is bricked. I turn on my PSP and the power light will come on, but nothing will show up on screen, then after about 10 seconds it turns off.

Anyone know how I can fix this and actually revert to original firmware? or am I fucked?

edit: Can't boot into recovery mode

from what i've read, unless you can get into recovery with your rsod, its a brick.
