I missed my showing on Thursday (fell asleep because I'm an old man) and every other showing is sold out til Tuesday. Got my ticket for a Tuesday matinee though.

"In there" could just be in reference to the movie, or they might be misleading us so the Soul Stone is a surprise -- or the battle we see in the Infinity War trailer is because they save Vision and/or the Mind Stone and take it there (or some other reason..).

Pretty much, feels like the message was told right but in the wrong circumstances. Whatever they do in the future I hope they try to make an actual point.

I was disappointed in the central conflict, was lazy. Killmonger's character has great depth and deserved a lasting place in the MCU like Lokii.

the more i think about this movie the more frustrated i get with how much there is to unpack. I don't want to have to do all that mental work over this. 24 hours later and I have a new respect for Ryan Coogler and the responsibility he had to shoulder here, no small part going toward having to please Disney. It's insane that so much social and artistic pressure has to fall on a super hero movie.

im very pleasantly surprised this movie came out in this form. i am shocked the suits at disney didnt try to water down the message a bit. coogler and michael b jordan continue their winning ways ALL HAIL

Saw it this morning. I thought it was great. I also laughed my ass off pulling into the movie theater and seeing it pretty much empty. And the theater itself was about half full. We don't like our movies black in white middle class suburbia. All in all a perfect 5/7. Movie spoilers.

Loved how they portrayed Shuri. She stole the fucking show for me. I find it interesting that the two Marvel villains I like the most Zemo and now Killmonger. They were major league bad guys without(for the most part) the benefit of super powers. They were each fundamentally good people but were catastrophically altered by things light years beyond their control. Danai Gurai I hate from TWD. But I thought she played her part marvelously. I was shocked that they killed off Klaw seeing as he is/was a major recurring villain the Black Panther world. Sadly, Martin Freeman could have been replaced by a cardboard cutout. He was completely irrelevant to the plot imo.

My only quibble is the rapid follow of "WHAT ARE THOSE?!" with "Whip it(your hair) back and forth". Shouldn't have double dipped, just having Shuri make the gag was fine since shit, she is 16.

And following on from Abandon. Not replace Tony, but a running thing with Shuri vs Tony tech prank war/messing with each other would have a lot of potential if you had a good writer handle it.
