One of the most noobish things that I can remember doing was fighting Qufim worms as a WAR/WHM with two other friends, and we did it while drunk. The other two also had jobs that shouldn't sub WHM, but we all did it because we fucking wanted to party, LFG is for losers, and fuck everyone else. They were drunk, too. It was Goddamn hysterical. We were running in circles around the worms and generally being failures, and it was the best.

Also, I used a scythe as a WAR during my first trip to Valkurm Dunes. I soon realized it was ass, as the concept of having skilled up my weapons registered, and I never did it again, but I'll also never forget.

my favorite FFXI memory was when my HNM LS was doing the yagudo HNM at the bottom of castle oztroja - Tzee Xicu - for some reason. to get there you have to go through the entire zone and drop down that hole the same way you do for G3.

now, i got aggro at the top of the zone but i was right about to drop down the hole so i just slept it (was on rdm) and dropped down, thinking it couldn't get to me anymore so it'd lose aggro. forgot about it, then we went on with the fight. about 20 minutes in, CHAOS ENSUES.

the entire zone of yagudo had come to attack us. i'm talking more yagudo than would load on your screen. sleepga did not hit them all. there must have been 60+ yagudo. the mob woke up, was pissed off and ran around linking the entire zone until finally finding me. it was like nothing i had ever seen and would ever see afterwards.

I did that near o.kote room once. Was on the ledge above that area and sniped one of the mobs below. 5 mins later the rape train arrived. Yagudo confirmed for best race.

me too lol, I used Scythe until mid 20's WAR, and subbed RDM because it was the only other job I had leveled at all. I then proceeded to not have any subs for RDM leveled other than WAR and DRK until like level 70 RDM

though at least I was ahead of the pack and used DEX rings back then

one of my friends was a SMN. we were exping in crawler's nest and got a link. he IMMEDIATELY started running, before the rest of us were even dead (we probably wouldn't have wiped if he'd stayed). made it all the way back to the entrance, with a huge train. No one could get back into CN for hours until some 75s came to clear it out.
