Of Verizion and trying to get a phone...without extending the contract.

I seem to have a problem that I've had for a bit. My gran got me and some of my siblings cell phones from Verizon a while back. I have a dumb flip phone and happy with that..well, until a month before my mom died. One of the hinges is basically gone now ><.

Tried going into the Verizon store but they not only charged me too much (I returned it) but tried to force a new contract on us. Which we don't want, I may end up switching providers when Gran dies but for now; Is there a way to get a new phone without extending the contract? (I was thinking Ebay but if any of you guys got a better idea let me know!)

I'd like to keep my number if I can!

try ebay to find the exact model you have, otherwise its basically pay full price for a new phone to not get contracted

Had to drop 700 for my s4 a few weeks ago in order to keep my unlimited data and avoid the contract renewal. But worth it considering ive used 38gb and only half way into my billing cycle as well as being able to take the phone to strait talk when ever I desire if I should choose to
