Well, an Adult is also a "bag of cells". It just so happens that an adult is able to take care of itself which a fetus/new born can not.

You can't just walk into a premature birth clinic and start slaying all the premature babies there. If a baby is aborted at 25 weeks, whats differance then killing a premature(25 weeks) baby in an incubator?

If you want to go rambling about being "self-aware" , "self-sustaining" and "sapient" then you start to justify euthanasia. What you are advocating is the right of a mother to infringe on the right to life of a fetus. That is like saying you support the right of Muslims to perform female circumcisions. A parents right to freedom of religion does not trump other rights.

12 weeks is my preferance, around the time the heart starts beating and the mother has had 3 months to decide.

We've been over this before in other threads. These sentences assume the woman knows she's pregnant the moment she conceives (ridiculous). I would say the average woman doesn't know she's pregnant until she's 2-3 months pregnant. Oddly enough, was talking to a cashier just today about how her first wasn't planned and she had to go to the hospital for something unrelated and found out she was 3 months pregnant.

Another woman I met recently went to the hospital over stomach pains, and not only found out she was 2 1/2 months pregnant, she was carrying twins.

I would say BEST case scenario is they find out they are 1-month (from a missed period).


So really, learn about what it means to be pregnant before failing at math.
