The last bullet point in the Item Level section of the update notes:



I bolded the part that I'm wondering most about. My kneejerk reaction is that there's some translation oddity going on there (or maybe some confusion in player terminology versus dev terms). Or maybe some hidden effect that's related to these "combat skill strength" that's not so apparent from just looking at the item (sorta like the Alternator).

I think that the +skill only affects the main hand and not the offhand, though I don't know how that would influence anything in terms of 2H weapons.

I know all you hardcore people who do the Mega Boss runs are a little bummed out that this new gear totally outclasses your boss weapons / equipment?

Only in some slots is that true and not bothered in the slightest.

I'm struggling to think of what gear it even obsoletes from Delve for me anyway.

Actually a bit underwhelmed by the armor, apart from what I assume are the new Wildskeeper items, those JSE backs are all just nice-to-haves.

Also I am happy they obsoleted a few of the bokwus pieces, because getting them all to 15 can suck it. And what is this club shield nonsense on blm now! >.> Although this makes me EXTREMELY HOPEFUL for relic/mythic/empyrean upgrades for the mage weapons. I think SE finally realized that magic damage is shit, praise the lord! /o/

Thing about new fights.. Everyone can participate at once. You could have 100 people from your server killing the thing. It's a matter of if they do enough to get rewarded.

The new weapons come from this type of event? If so that is not to bad then, still dislike the way this is going. I have yet to do anything in SoA just because I feel I am to weak. The only job that comes close to being worth a damn is my pld with an ochain and no aegis <,< limping in with a under geared jobs seems like a way to piss off a lot of people and slow down people who have geared up the right way.

This type of stuff tho is going to somewhat force my hand I feel >.<

Idk where to post this but just did GEO LB quest, it's tuff. Talk to Sylvie -> morimar station 1 and talk to galka there, then go to (K-6) to pop a fire elemental NM, casts Fire II, Firaga, and Fire III. It can be slept and I killed it in a minute or 2 on naked 99 GEO. Just re-click pop spot to finish quest and get 3k bayld and the title Geomancipator.
