I've slowly been trying to do this, but it feels like they are taking a really long time to grow now. I feed and interact with them every day, but I'm starting to wonder if the types of monsters you are currently raising have an effect on other ones based on the correlation chart.

And I hate the red raptor. I normally set my monsters free, but I've put down 2 raptors so far since they just evolve normally. Had a similar problem with the red treant, but that one would actually mature rather quickly.

As long as you're not doing the mistake I was and feeding the baby raptor rotten meat. I was doing that wondering why it wouldn't evolve into a red raptor until I realised I misread and was feeding it the food the red raptor grants at the green thumb moogle rather than it's evolution food of Cockatrice Meat.

Treants, red raptors, and hecteyes are all little bitches from my experience.
Saplings are temperamental little things on top of being reluctant to evolve at that.

What I've taken to doing with alternate evolutions, if by three full stars they haven't popped after full zoning, I put them on enjoy the moment.
The next day, I'll put them back on personal growth so that they can evolve with the feeding.
And that's saved me a couple times from wasting a baby.

I'm not sure if they can alternately evolve when set to enjoy the moment... So that's why I swap the style before feeding.

Hmm...when u look at monster rearing page on wiki and bgwiki the flow tables seem to indicate spaces for a next level on both of these. Dunno if it's "filler" space or if there really is a 3rd level for both monsters, with info that has yet to be determined.

Um it's just a giant blank with "---x--- " in it... it's clearly just blank just like every other monster that doesn't have a 3rd lvl which is most of them... Plus there are no other cheers associated with those mob types

When an update happens we get the list of cheers, its pretty easy to figure out the evolution path so we plug that into the wiki page. Until they added Rank 3 mobs the only 3rd stage one was Ram, so stage 2 went all the way to the right and ram looked a little squished. Rank 3 came out and added some more 3 stage mobs so in order to make the page not look so squished someone was nice enough to redo the info making it look better, and made it so filling in the blanks would be easier. As Dasva said the ---x--- means nothing is there. it looks better than just a blank.

Enjoying the moment shuts down growth period.
As in, they gain no stars. (If you start a baby with it, it'll be a 1 empty until you take it off.)
So it it indirectly stops normal evolutions.
That being said, I am unsure if squirm evolutions take place with it on.
It's possible that it blocks evolution proper, but it's also possible to allow evolution.
I'm too paranoid to have tried it and wasted a day/food on a baby if it would have never worked.
So I swap to personal growth before feeding.
That way, after full zoning, if it didn't pop, I swap it back to enjoying the moment.
Though this is only something to do if you're trying for the alternate adult form and it's at 3 full stars.

Emphasizing the idea of stopping and smelling the rolanberries will stunt the monster's growth, but will put it in a much better mood. However, monsters have been known to mature under this style of parenting if they are fed.

On fast growing baby monsters I would put them on this until they liked me or I got cheer, they do grow but it is slow.

All enjoying the moment does is eliminate the growth they get just from time passing. Feeding it still does the same thing, and it can still evolve into the natural evolution if you're unlucky with the squirms.

That is correct. I've used this with several monsters when they've reached 3 stars but haven't squirm evolved yet.

just got my White Adamantoise today (stupid Hecteye) and looking back all the interactions so far are Stares off. The wiki page has it listed as None for favorite. I always felt this was neutral response not positive or negative. so is it worth even doing anything or should I just feed and collect items?

I figure it's neutral, and at the very least might potentially give the memento, so I keep at it.

It's probably neutral. Doesn't seem to increase growth at all since my White Adamantoise is barely 1 full star after about a week of feeding and interacting. Or it could just be that slow at growing.
