For Garden Furrows, do you still only get progress for harvesting once per real life day?

As far as I've known each harvest counts since the beginning

I've been doing revival roots since they can be harvested hourly, but I end up only checking them daily. I've been playing for 4 months and it took me until 2 weeks ago to get Rank 6. I've missed maximum 5-10 days in that time.

I was just trying the revival tree roots today & also did 4 Grow-M-Good tree saplings. probably 12 harvests in total after jp midnight.
I'm still rank 4, so it may just be one harvest counts every RL day, or maybe only one per furrow per day. (2nd furrow has saplings fertilized w/ coalition humus i got a little over a day ago; starting to regret doing that)

I don't think we ever pinned down either if it was harvest # or harvest amount (and no one really cared to because that would be obnoxious and harvesting many increases the amount harvested).
So furrows has always been a bother. (I didn't spam it with roots, and by the time everything else was 7, my furrows was only 4 or 5, I don't remember exactly, way back then.)

Finally got monster rearing today. Are there any tricks to progressing through this quicker, or am I limited to one interaction per day?

Interaction/harvesting isn't what makes you advance.
There doesn't seem to be any relation to number of monsters, number of monster types, or anything related to messing with it.

It really just seems that time is the only bar to fill in terms of monster rearing rank.
But from other people I know who started recently, it doesn't seem to take that long to rank up.

After looking at the wiki, something struck me as odd.

Is there a way to actually obtain Moon Carrot & Deluxe Carrot?
(bar having held onto that moon carrot since '02)

I bet it's obtainable through Furrows in some way. Deluxe Carrot was added in 2014 and its description hints at fertilizers (and thus not traditional gardening).

EDIT: No squirm from gabbrath @3.0.
No squirm for hydra either. Just gonna evolve it into an elasmoth today.

ffxiclopedia monster rearing page says you can get the Moon Carrot by collecting items from a White Rabbit. No clue how the Deluxe Carrot is obtained.

Has anyone tried Beastly/Savory Shanks for KB to see if they give a Skormoth?

I'd test it myself, have a Savory rotting in my mog sack for precisely this purpose... but I was away for over a week and lost some progress on my KB. Now slowly getting him up to 2.5 stars, he's at 1.5 now. Evolved with Savory from original Behemoth Cub, so this would be a double Savory Shank evolution. If I don't see anyone else provide confirmation of Savory effect or Skormoth findings by the time I'm up to 2.5, I'll use my Savory and report back.

I am almost positive I have obtained both carrots from mog gardens in some manner but I have no idea what I did for it. I believe I got one from a White Rabbit like Indi mentioned. I just remember occasionally goin "oh hey a pointless carrot!"

KB squirm evolved with dragon meat at 2.5 stars for the path: cub > beastly shank behemoth > savory shank king behemoth > dragon meat elasmoth. Added to wiki (previously was only on cub > savory shank king behemoth > dragon meat elasmoth).

Wonder if it has been tested when you have to activate the furrow helpers to benefit from their bonuses.
    Before you plant the seeds?
Can activate them later as long as the seeds aren't ready to be harvested yet?
Or whenever as long as you activate them before harvesting?

Pretty sure it's just any time before you harvest since some people bother to swap them to their other duties to gain full "benefit" from the helpers. Fairly certain you could plant the seeds and then when they're ready to harvest, activate/call the helpers and get their bonues.

It's definitely just before harvest. It's pretty easy to see the difference between support and none and you definitely still get it swapping things around all the time

Yeah. It seems the nodes check for "buffs" only right at the point of harvesting, meaning you can swap your helpers to whatever you're harvesting, get the benefits, then swap again to boost something else. Yeestog for example between the grove/mineral vein.
