Guess you should have read this post:

Something strange happened in my garden... Except on one occasion, I have only fed my 2 baby dragon hatchlings water and pat them since they came out every day (never collected items).
That being said, the one expection was when i gave Spyro a sweet tea.
Spoiler: show
After that (almost a month ago), my other dragon hatchling evolved into an Abyssal Wyrm, and i assumed that it had evolved naturally, since i had only fed that one distilled water, and today i checked bg wiki to see how to make them squirm, since i assumed the dragon paths would be mapped out by now. And im a little confused on the results...
Ill provide a pic of my garden today:
Spoiler: show
So to recap:
-Smaug distilled water and pat every day since release (today i gave cerb meat)
-Spyro distilled water and pat every day since release plus Sweet tea a month ago, (kazham pepper today)
Im confused about a few things:
Why didnt Spyro evolve naturally if the other one did?
Dont all monsters evolve naturally? (no squirm)
Maybe it didnt evolve naturally and somehow the tea made it evolve and the game confused the two baby hatchlings and evolved the wrong one?
From my understanding, once a monster reaches 3 full stars it only has a chance to evolve naturally every day after that. Most natural evolutions have a pretty good chance, but hatchling -> wyrm seems to be the lowest one, presumably to create the illusion that dragons age slowly and encourage using Honey Wine to speed it up.
Some things can naturally evolve earlier but yeah wyrm is weird. Like one character it naturally evolved like a week or so since the update that added it... the other 2 still haven't
But that means that the dragon that wasnt given the sweet tea, evolved naturally at 2.5 stars, and is the abyssal wyvern the natural evolution anyway?
Oh well, what do i know, wyrm is weird...
They only evolve naturally at 3 stars and it's totally random like regular squirm items. I've had some monsters evolve after a few days and others still be 3 star "baby" monsters for several weeks. Like on my mule, my sabotender is still small and 3 stars for probably 2 weeks now while my wyrm evolved after maybe 1 week of 3 stars. And I got both of them on the same day. It became an abyssal wyrm too in case you were wondering.
Natural evolution of Dragon Hatchling is Abyssal Wyrm, yes. Natural evolution of Abyssal is Lunar Wyrm too.
Smaug evolved naturally instantly when it hit 3 stars.
Spyro hasn't evolved naturally yet.
How long it takes for a monster to evolve naturally after hitting 3 stars is completely luck based, that's all.
Anyone who has Blue Wyvern memento, how much does dragon blood cost from the moogle?
16,000
this cactuar is right up there with the Hecteyes for me. little bugger is getting annoying
Is anyone else having trouble getting Elasmoth to evolve? Mine is squirmed 8 times so far with no luck, and Gabbrath Meat is somewhat hard to come by these days on Odin.
Yes. If it wasn't, it wouldn't have squirmed.
My Elasmoth finally evolved after 14 feedings, yeesh.
1/1 on Skormoth. 0/28 and counting on the Jumbotender....
I've been having trouble getting the slime to evolve as well. Wonder if the odds would go up if I got it to 3 stars (instead of 2.5)
