Is there a benefit to revival tree roots over saplings for farming or are you ranking up faster?

Ranking is based on how many items you get out of something... since revival tree has such a short time that would generally make that better unless you can only check once a day or something
I kinda stopped checking garden shortly after getting max rank. Couldn't know it was "storing" my progress even with the max rank capped at 5 >.>
I checked them all a few times and a KI appeared btw (dunno which it is, I think it's the mining point one)
One of the working assumptions used to be that Ranks were tied to titles. Not sure if it was verified either way.
After about 125-150 days worth of shining stars (checking once a day; not sure how many days I had before stars were added in) I had access to Rank 7 in everything but furrows which were Rank 6.
Lol I have something like 240 stars xD
Matsya acquired from the rank7 coastal fishing nets
I got a sea zombie. Was the Matsya the last fish you pulled up from the net? I've gotten large guttable fish in that slot every time with rank 7, yesterday's wasn't notable though. I guess I should try various pond baits to try to find how to get a calico comet without waiting for the goldfish event, since I doubt that it's a normal catch.
What do you have the helpers set to? I usually do the first option for pond and ocean (i think it gives an extra fish), are you using go after a whopper to get matsuya and whatnot? I haven't gotten anything I would deem exciting from rank 7 nets yet.
matsya was the second fish on the list that was fished up. I had no helpers nor bait used.
Has anyone decided if it's better to go from node 3 or 4 on mine and grove? I feel like I was getting better NPCables from #3 but I keep wondering if there's something amazing from #4. As far as fish luck, all i get are tiny goldfish and dwarf pugils... stuff from the ocean has been same old same old.
Better is kinda relative. I used to switch between 2 and 3 depending on what ores I was looking for
I got a calico comet (i have 5 gardens ._.; ) using go after a whopper. I think that's a small fish though so maybe not related.
Guessing the people getting the new quest have rank 7 Furrows? And how come BGwiki's scan didn't pick up the quest?
Maybe it's one of those weird ones that either don't go into or disappear out of the quest log. I know the scans missed the run/geo ergon fight quests and they disappear out of the log
I got both fish with no helpers/bait, same with philo stone. Sadly I don't have quest flagged yet cause furrows are still rank 6
Weren't the other ones based on how many times you entered? I know my mules all have the first quest thing despite never doing anything but flotsam
How often do people who have the quest flagged enter their garden? I have over 300 stars on my main and over 100 stars on my mules (plus I've spent some stars). There are maybe 4 or 5 weeks total that I skipped gardening since it was released. I thought it might be because my garden elements aren't rank 7 yet (cursed tree sapling farming lol).
