I guess it's either a certain period of time passing by or amount of interactions you've done in mog gardens because one of my mules just got the KI. She has rank 5 pond/vein/grove/net, rank 4 furrow and also adult rabbit KI. It's the only pet I've raised so far. My other mule can't get the KI yet, and I started gardens a day or two after this one... so I'm expecting to get the KI in a day or two. I just purchased the rank 5 KI for 2 areas when I went to see if I could get Magic Spoon KI. I wasn't able to get the grey lizards memento yet.

Also, I believe you only needed rank 3 to start raising monsters :D

I just noticed in the update notes:

The following adjustments have been made to Monster Rearing.
The conditions for acquiring rams have been lessened.
After selecting a memory from the “Rank XX monsters” menu when choosing a cheer and electing for “Nothing for now,” the cursor will not be set at the location of the previously selected memory.

    -_-

Yeah my other mule just got it and hasn't bought any new KIs so that's probably it

i seen in the notes that the text for Chacharoon cheer got change..
checked my basic rabbit, text got changed from eva and parry skill or 1% >> 10% (all other text remains the same) ... so with my hopes renewed, i equip it... and stats still do not go up...
exp and cap boost remain the same but my question is...
Did Crafting boost increase from 1 to 10%?
i'm asking because orvail ring provides 5% boost, shaper's shawl 25%, and for cheer to only give +1% ... seems kinda small, anyone can check?

Should've read the note closer lol

"Various issues wherein help text related to combat skill increase rates via "Cheer:" key items was incorrect."

So no once again it is still just rates stop hoping and they only changed combat ones.

As far as amounts that's just cheer being mediocre. I mean foods increase skill rate by double almost compared to this 10%. CP capes give up to 50% while this gives 1%. Xp rings give double while this gives 2%. So the idea of this giving much less than other stuff seems legit... especially with considering the end mission ring is only 5

Just got the Ki for my second mule, which I started gardens a day or so after the other one:

It's either time passed or amount of interactions you've done in mog gardens? Idk how you been through 2 monsters and not get the KI Dasva, maybe I started mine before you did. Remember, I did experiment with "living in the moment" with one of them so I used a good stack of rotten meat which did nothing until I switched to 'emphasis on personal growth'.

Ive had the same monster the whole time. its just interacting with them that counts. I interacted every day up until a bit (might have been a month) before they added rank 2, which i started only interacting sporadically, meaning i pet and fed, then eventually just heavy petting. When rank 2 was added I had the key item no problem. Ive only ever collected items like 7 times total on both my characters.

    Also: think further ahead.
With Feb we're getting a second monster (and an assumed R3 to flag for it).
So chances are that they intend to bring the monster nodes up to R7...
Probably like the Furrows with 3 monsters... (Though I want 5 babies!)
So given extra monsters, I wouldn't be surprised if extra cheers came with them. (Ala 1 monster::1 cheer slot)

Mind you, as it stands now... Only really Trusts benefit from more cheer slots... Buuuuut... They also want to add more species.... So at the end of the implementation, perhaps (with 3 cheers) we'll have +6% cap bonus possible? (And with 5... +10%!!!!!)

What's the best way to get a Drill Calamari if one's fishing is too low for Inside the Belly?

I assume you mean for the last quest... you can either get it from the coastal net which happens often enough (you've probably throw some away by now) or just spend 100 log in points

They really did make the ram easier to evolve, I was able to evolve rams on two different characters with a single feeding of Great Moss. You just need your sheep to be at 2 stars, possibly less. I have 10 extra great moss I can experiment with, which I'll try to see if you can evolve a karakul into a ram. Also, got the Ram KI in one day after it evolved. I noticed every time I got the "beaming" message, I would get the KI if I did the correct interaction.

The stars are kinda confusing me... I've had some evolve while only having 1 unfilled star and others not with all 3 filled and everything inbetween. So far as far as I can tell it seems like different ones might have different minimums (maybe that's what the level thing is about) and maybe the more stars you have/have filled in past that minimum maybe increases the chance of evolving?

Well My friend and I developed a theory that you just have to bitch about not gettin what you want to get what you want. as not but a half an hour after bitching here about it i finally got Karakul memento. Its mood was pouting slightly and slight aura of discontent. I collected from it and got a karakul wool, lesser chigoe, and red moko grass. i pet it then i fed it the red moko grass and got memento from the grass. I literally was gonna send it off tonight if i didnt get it.

Is there a Monster rearing section on bg wiki im missing? Seems to have no information. I can't seem to digivolve my lizard, it is brown and large with three stars. Doesn't it cap at the grey one and give a KI? I only got the baby lizard KI.

If you're feeding it Rotten meat, it has a chance to evolve into the gray (alabaster) version. It'll give a "squirm uncontrollably" message. However, it could possible just mature into adult form, or if you want you can feed it lesser chigoes, the evolution food for adult lizards. The BG Wiki page isn't very maintained, but here's a detailed mog gardens page on the Wikia,

I want a Ram and checking a wiki link given a page or so back I just want to make sure... so if i am reading this right, I need to evolve a lamb into a sheep. and then evolve that into a Ram?
