Yeah, feed adult sheep great boyahda moss and it will evolve into a ram. Though the last update said the requirements for ram have been lowered, so who knows what it actually means. Might take a different item or might only take 1 moss ever with no random BS.

I added a fancy chart and compiled all the monster rearing stuff on the wiki page....
I might have missed something, but am pretty sure I got everything acounted for...
(Only complaint is that the highlight function clashes a bit with the chart colors, but preferred to keep with the preexisting chart themes on that page.)

As useless as Mog Gardens is for now, it's going to feel weird if we get this updated area without a quest or something from the Moogle explaining our new massive garden area. With that said, surely they plan on making it all more useful if they're bothering to create a whole new area for it.

I'm pretty sure it's just more space for monsters since we're getting 2 at once now and probably 3+ in the future and there's no room for that over by the pond atm. I'm sure there will be a quest with rank 3 like there was with rank 2. Whether they use the extra space for things besides monster rearing remains to be seen.

I dunno, maybe I'm just used to them acting like every tiny quest they add to the game is content and mentioning it within teasers and notes. Just when all they say about it is "The graphics for the Mog Gardens will be changed." I jump to the conclusion of ninja editing a zone. I'd hope at some point they'd use the larger real estate of the area to make the garden as a whole more useful rather than just the rearing aspects.

Or maybe I should lern2read moar. Maybe there's like a blocked off tunnel then getting rank 3 Rearing opens it since the post also mentions "Achieving rank three will open up a new section of the Mog Gardens and provide the ability to rear multiple creatures as once."

would be kind of cool if they made it a small tunnel to the new area. then they could put the mining points in there (instead of a silly rock).

Well, even if i had a pickaxe of the size of Andy Dufresne rock hammer, i have already smashed that rock enough times to make a tunnel to another area... Just saying...

Given those images a few pages back... I'm betting it will be a whole zone change rather than just a new area. (That's way too big JUST for 3~5 monsters.... That could fit up to ten easily with no crowding.)
The Gardens have always felt a little cramped, but cozy at the same time.
So I'll miss the old look of it's a full replacement.
If it's a tunnel and expansion (which would also technically be a full replacement too, unless you zone into it) then damn that place is empty.
And further, if it is that, I really wonder the extent of monster rearing... Let alone the Mog Garden as a whole.

Mog Gardens turning into Pokemon Ranch/Nursery.... requirements to achieve higher end mobs may need be having two specific kinds of 'adult' pets in the nursery, and Chacharoon 'finds' a new pet in the nursery one day (Pieste being cross-breed of eft to raptor or some such). Although it would be funny to have the little qiqirn assist in the birthing of dhalmels as their vag is bigger than he is.

Do lizards react to lesser chigoes any more to turn into big lizards? There really isn't a difference between the models other than an increase in size. I never got a "squirms uncontrollably" message, but for a while my lizard has been at 3 full stars of growth and it's half as big as my character. I really just need it alive long enough to get the memento, then I'll start over and feed rotten meat to get a white lizard.

Well, great boyada moss is now accessible more than 1 drop per day per server. I'll go ahead and assume that Papaka grass is the evolution item for dhalmels.

So, got a Colibri as my second monster, figured out some positive reactions already!

Petting it - Surprisingly not worthless
Potion (had a leftover from my treant) - Resonated strongly

Harvested Items - Mushroom Locust, Faerie Apple

Also they come with random names now; I got a Colibri named Sakura.

Dhalmel strongly resonates with moko grass and petting. I noticed the random names too, my Dhalmel is named Invincible Leg.

Seems to be just the 2nd monster for the random name was able to name a colibri as my first.

Did not go over well for Poking.
    Strongly resonates with distilled water.

Can you get multiple cheers, or does getting one replace the previous one you had?

Was about to ask about the multiple cheers as well but I assume it's only one active at the same time.
Can't wait to find out what the following cheers come from.
Well first one should be pretty easy to guess, I'm more wondering about the second.
Going from FFXIclopedia Limascabra is a white Uragnite, so that's probably a rare evolution of Uragnite?

A cheer from Chacharoon based on
the pleasant memories of raising an
    uragnite.
Increases capacity point gains by 3% and experience point gains by 5%.

A cheer from Chacharoon based on
the pleasant memories of raising a
    limascabra.
Confers a capacity point bonus of 5% and experience point bonus of 3%.
