What are normal evolutions? Do they require food? For example, I have been trying to go from baby raptor to adult raptor (not red) but I am not feeding it and it is at 3/3 filled stars. Will it eventually evolve with food?

It sorta does
The reason the normal ones don't have something under evolution food is because any food will do in theory. I seem to remember SE implying if you set it to personal growth it might on it's own but I can't think of a time hearing it has. Anyways normal evolution can take forever and there is no real reason not to feed it...Originally Posted by bgwiki
Normal evolutions will occur eventually regardless of what you feed them (with enough positive interactions?). Many monsters (most/all of the ones before the latest batch I think?) still have a squirm food that can trigger normal evolutions thou. I had put a bunch of the confirmed ones on the wiki a while ago, but it looks like someone deleted them all for whatever reason. I guess because of that hubub about them getting patched out, which turned out to not be true.
My bro was raising 2 sapling at same time because Gotta catch them all, he asked what both upgrade items were, i told him potion and some sort of blood, after digging back through this thread he found what blood it was, Both sapling gave squirm message and evolved, one red the other green. so any food will do but the old evolution foods will still make them evolve normal route faster than waiting for 3 full starts.
the old items should be put back because they still work and can save days of time
I never caught on to the pokemon thing, but maybe someone can tell me if I'm doing something wrong. For the past week, I've been giving my baby rabbit red moko grass every day, and it still hasnt evolved. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
Well, it's random, so there's that. Has the rabbit given the "squirms uncontrollably" message? How many stars is it currently at? There's a theory that you have to feed a monster some other food than the evolution item at least once or it won't evolve. I don't know if it was ever debunked or not I generally don't bother with the evolution food till a monster has grown a little.
It was debunked immediately after someone proposed it. I've in the past gotten mobs to evolve within 2 days feeding only evolution food... also had the same exact mob fed and interacted the same at the same time on a mule take several weeks... <.< shit is so random though that mule seems to take longer for everything
Or vise-versa depending on who you are. But yeah, totally random. Nynja, just keep spamming red moko grass, it will evolve eventually.
What care plan is it on? enjoy the moment or growth?
No, it should do the opposite.
when i was after the White urganite i remember getting squim message for like 4 day, didnt evolve until it was at 2 1/2 stars. you can find the food early but it wont evolve until it has grown some, i do recall SE saying the a monsters favorite food will make them grow alittle faster. if that is true or not i dont know.
Note, I gave a baby Colibri Mulsum every day, had it squirming every day, and it still turned into a 'normal' colibri instead of a Toucalibri. So again, it is random
Were you interacting with it besides feeding?
Actually, it's happened to a lot of us. I proposed that your pet is more likely to evolve by feeding it different types of food (goes in correlation with people who wait a bit for it to mature) and getting their contentment level up before you feed the actual evolution food. We can all agree this shit is mostly random/luck based, though.
