I couldn't either. Someone in my ls told to talk to the moogle near one of the boats to take you to Mog Gardens. I went to the one near the fishing guild, and bought the rank 4 for 40k gil

Thanks, I guess I was checking with the wrong NPCs this whole time.

You can get the KIs for Gil from the Moogles near the boats in the starting cities, vs. bayld in Adoulin.

That is strange. Good to know there's a workaround but I wonder if that's working as intended.

bah I should've done gil instead I think... since I think hpb conversion makes it worth more

the item on the table changes depending on the current event. so it changes every few weeks. for the behemoth event its the clock cause you can get one from Behemoth event.

My furrows is so annoying. Everything is rank 7 but them. I quit doing Mog Garden for awhile but started back up. I am sure someone posted something in these 86 pages about strats to get it to rank up but without digging deep into these pages does anyone have any suggestions on getting it higher rank up? Done all the quests I can do so far for MG, and been harvesting daily, etc keeping fertilized, have all my npcs out helping....etc. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

Use revival tree roots since they can be harvested in an hr.

hpb = high-purity bayld

You can cash in bayld into high-purity bayld at npc in East Adoulin then sell them in bazaar for gil. Npc is Runje Desaali in Eastern Adoulin, (J-10): 10,000 Bayld = 1 H-P Bayld

So buffalo doesn't squirm to any liquids either. Looks like just normal no squirm as expected. Which means slow as heck... been stuck at 3 stars for days already.

clot gets angry at seeds, greens, fruits and water but just not worthless with fish/meat.

It generally goes by what you can get from the event.
For example: the kabuto furniture during Feast of Swords, a bonbori lantern during Doll Festival, iirc a korrigan pricket for Holloween, the roses for Valentines, etc.
The clock is for the anniversary event. (Was the same last year.)
But once the event ends, the table returns to normal.

It's actually Timepiece. The vanaclock is huge and hangs on a wall. I'm usually oblivious to things but holy crap how did people go like 2 years without noticing there's event items in the mog garden every time there's a holiday event going on in game? There's a jeweled egg during the easter/eggstravaganza thing, there's a kabuto during the feast of swords, a kadomatsu during new years, a wishing tree or w/e during tanabata, dolls during the doll-fest etc.
