    lol

EDIT: actually thinking about it.... I kinda don't want King Behemoth shanks to be used here.... >____>
Don't care about the pondweed cause ain't no body use that for nothing.

EDIT2: Updated all the charts. this is how I did the foods:
    Seeds
    Burdock / Popoto / Walnut
    Greens
    Blue Pondweed / Red Pondweed
    Fruits
Date / Royal Grape / Dragon Fruit / Kitron / Persikos / Reishi Mushroom /
Agaricus / Coral Fungus / Sobbing Fungus
    Liquids
    Yellow Ginseng / Elixir
    Meats
    Dragon Meat / Tavnazian Liver
    Fish
    Bibiki Urchin

I put the fungi in the fruit category.... cause they come from Fruit Seeds.... though scientifically they should be in the seed category... but I could also see them in the greens category... will have to get one and see if it resonates with an adamantoise (thereby making it a green).

EDIT3: OK. Good. They are.... fruit...................... Whatever, SE. You can say Mushrooms are fruit..... it's you're game. smh.

Is it just me or did SE adjust the time it takes to obtain items from your rock/tree nodes? I used to get items mid-animation, now it waits till the animation is done before giving me items.

edit: I might be maxing out my bandwidth and it could just be lag too.

You were probably harvesting with ja0wait before, it cuts the animation short.

Dragon meat is surprisingly not worthless for baby bugard.

I'm guessing the White Adamantoise is the Genbu model, where the Great Adamantoise is the Aspidochelone model. I went through as many new files as I could and didn't find any other new model types for turtles or bugards, so it's limited to whatever is already in there. I figure the elixir being tossed in there could be used for the White Adamantoise.

Tiny bugard memento allows you to buy chicken bones for 1600. It did not squirm with Tavnazian sheep liver. Worst case is that it is also a 3 stage evolution, like with the crab.

No squirm with dragon meat either.

Just so you guys know, I'm generally responsible for keeping the Monster Rearing page on the old wiki up-to-date. I put the skeleton together. Just yesterday with the update I made a bunch of assumptions about the Adamantoise evolution paths, based on previous trends with the (known) Cheer bonuses. For example, VIT+6 -> VIT+8 strongly implies that Great Adamantoise is the normal maturation of Adamantoise, while White Adamantoise is a variant off of Adamantoise but not Ferromantoise. These are ASSUMPTIONS. There's a reason I put Verification tags on every single item.

I closely follow this thread and (after applying my own skepticism) try to integrate it into my data, but I still leave a Verification tag until I (or another Pedia player) have confirmed it. I don't pay any attention to BG's Mog Garden page.

"A mushroom is the fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of a fungus."

Trust me, it bothered the heck out of me that they grouped together [Moss, Cabbage, Grass] and [Acorn, Apple, Corn, Cherry, Nuts] and [Peas, Carrots, Seeds]. Botanically, nuts and corn are fruits because they are the fleshy ovary of the plant, unlike cabbage which is just a leaf, and carrots which are roots. Botanically, a tomato is a fruit (but considered a vegetable by culinary and legal and food-processing standards). I think I am actually wrong to classify carrots under "Seeds" since they do actually flower and bear seeds, but it's a little late now.

If you were to dig up a mass of fungus and feed it to your monster, it would likely be considered a "Green". The mushroom on top of the fungus would be a "Fruit."

Bugard- no squirm from burdock which I think might be the last of the strongly resonating food.

also someone mentioned walnuts as being seeds but based on the reaction I got from bugard they definitely aren't. Based on the reaction it's either greens, fruit or fish and I think we can safely rule out the fish.

It might. Someone reported it didn't but that was first day shenanigans I think. Would be easier if people stopped noting not squirm on first day since nothing does

I tried it at 1.5 stars yesterday. It's always possible that the bugard is like the crab, and is just 3 stages. I'll keep trying different foods though before it grows from time.

Nothing on regular sheep meat or reishi mushroom. The mushroom strongly resonates.

If bugard would squirm I'd imagine it's probably to one of the new seeds they added since they strongly resonate... then again could be weird like slime and be something it doesn't even like

So noticed someone on bg wiki put a lot of the guesses of categories into new foods already. So yeah walnuts are not seeds. So in case anyone gets confused

    Are they fruit then?
Nuts tend to be considered seed in FFXI.
Though they are technically fruit IRL.
Everything else was placed there via AH listings and what type of seeds grow it.
(Except for the pondweeds since they aren't a real food item.)

EDIT: (now that I'm at a computer and not my phone.... cause editing on an iphone is terribad.)

    ;p
(That old woman is my spirit animal.)
Fruit is a modified ovary and uterus of a plant, originally seed carrying.
    Fungi are not plants.
Furthermore, there is no fungus part of a mushroom that isn't a mushroom. The basic anatomy of all mushrooms are: roots, stalk, cap. With spoor pockets usually under the cap.
Scientifically speaking, if we HAD to place mushrooms in a greens-seed-fruit system... it would make better sense for it to be in greens, since, while not the color green, are essentially just a giant leaf with seeds growing out of roots. And many mushrooms are "leafy" in appearance.

    But this is SE.
And they operate under blue and orange insane troll logic.
And I know me some insane troll logic. Cause I'm Betty Crocker.
So in regards to you're confusion about carrots: They're a tuber. (a modified root)
And since tubers grow in the ground.... to SE's insane troll mind, that means tubers are the same as seeds.
Which is a similar reason why corn is considered a seed by SE. (You can plant it in the furrows.... yeah. This is the level we're on. THIS is the level of insane troll you have to be to understand what they think...)
