MIT Immersion project. Check out your metadata

    https://immersion.media.mit.edu/

Just have to give it permission to access your gmail and it will go through all your emails and plot out your all of your contacts and such. Pretty nifty thing.

"When you see it all together, it is, in a way, an out-of-body experience," one of the creators of the project told the Globe. "You're seeing all of your network and you're seeing yourself out of it and you're seeing it from afar and you're seeing it in one picture."

Why not? Not like they arnt selling that data anyways! Also you can supposedly "nuke" the data from the server once done. I just used a google account I only use once in a while anyways.

Exactly, you didn't use your main Google account because on some level you understand that giving someone access to your personal email account is a really fucking bad idea.

Why not hand them your social security number too while you're at it.

Eh it's MIT, not like i'm sending all my metadata to 4chan or reddit. And yeah what Yabby said, at least I know MIT will most likely destroy the data when I ask.

You guys are far too trusting. Just remember that there's no such thing as a secure system.

I'm in Netsec, I dont trust shit but i'm also a realist. It's a very interesting tool for sure and there are myriad of other ways to harvest your metadata in other ways.

Fake/secondary email addresses are hard to get I'm told.
