I hope you fucking die in the worst possible way
o mio dio defendingggggg
grats, completely jealous. How many does it take to kill KB nowadays? Is meteor very deadly anymore?
Can be killed pretty easy with a mage+DD. Meteor isn't really that bad anymore, most of the time it gets interrupted.
addle works wonders, and when meteor does go off it only does about 400-600.
I killed him on Run the other day for a LSmate (she got ring and I totally did oh mio dio) and Meteor didn't break 200.
If you had used 3x Lux + Vallatio/Valiance, it wouldn't have broken 90 damage. It's stupidly easy now, but we went for an ultra-hyper overkill because my lsmates were paranoid about dying and losing the trigger.
I had Tellus up so I wouldn't get stunned by any of his moves or spikes. Thought Meteor was non-ele damage, or is that PC spell only?
I didn't know (and apparently no one did either) it until I tried, but Meteor (monster version) is definitely dark elemental. Its damage is reduced so much with 3x Lux and Vallatio/Valiance that there's little doubt about it. Yesterday I wanted to use Liement to try and absorb Meteor's damage, to give a final confirmation, but both times I tried we interrupted the spell.
Monster meteor has been known to be dark elemental for a very long time. That's why everyone thought that player meteor was going to be dark based.
Gratz on ring, hit 0/22 myself, about 120-140mil in now (maybe more)
I always recommend bringing 3 people. I've had WHMs DC on me 3 times and kited KB until LS mates could get there to save the day.
I forget, but since D.Ring is much rarer and shares a drop slot w/ Pixie, does that make bringing a THF inconsequential? Or is it advised not to bring one so as to not mess w/ the normal distribution of items?
I would love to bring one, probably would if I was planning to go. But I thought I remembered something about TH not affecting drop rate of items w/ a shared drop slot, or at worst increasing the drop rate of the more common drop. In this case, that'd mean a lower chance at D.Ring. Just seeking a little clarification of truth vs. rumor as it stands in my hazy memory.
TH doesn't increase the drop rate on items like dring.
We only brought a Thief because someone wanted abjurations. For Dring, it won't affect anything.
Bring a thief anyways if youre going through 10 shanks trying for KB pop
I don't think there's ever been any actual tests on either/or drops and if TH affected it in any way. Inductively it'd make sense for it not to do anything, but I doubt anybody is going to bother recording killing 1000+ KBs or whatever it'd take for a test to show anything.
EDIT: XIDB ain't helping either.
