curing still seems boss. however everything else is poop considering magic. buffs get you barely points debuffs the same and nukeing is meh at best considering how fast you can run out of MP, QD falls into the same category as nukeing do its even more meh. its either deal damage physical or cure bomb if you want good evaluation. the worst part is that blockaid doesnt work in reives. you cant get invited but you still can get cured from outside people

definitely BST and PUP friendly because they can sic pet under sneak/vis. SMN will have difficulty assaulting

if you can afford to come back from afk to check if you're still hitting the root (or if its dead), this is a great bayld/cape farm spot. i netted at least 3k bayld in the <1hrs work with dasva around. which is definitely more than afk colo reiving anywhere else.

    pos is like J-10.

You guys rock tried this worked great seems in a party you can fight one mob and then all gets the constant rewards afk with or without pets fighting the root. I like to smack the dev that gave the velk the move that knocks you to the other side of the zone causing me to time out a few times ugh.....

Repulse Cape for 20k Bayld. Reduces knockback.

I tried soloing a Lair Reive in Yorcia on RNG this weekend, and got it to about 75% before the mobs wandered over to me and slapped me around. I was standing at the maximum range I could without getting warnings about leaving the reive. Is there some trick to being out of range that I'm missing? Do sneak/invis work so I could just Jig or something real quick when the mobs start to get close?

Sneak/Invis do work. I think the only exception are the floating eyes?

Yorcia lair reives just have to small of a range. The colo reives there let you go farther back. And ravine does as well bot lair and colo

The range is the same on lairs in yorica as ravine (20'), yorica lairs are just positioned closer to walls/corners, so the mobs are centered further out. I checked all of the yorica lairs labeled on spiras map, and none of them are safe to pet/ranged/whatever on because of this.

Could swear I could get further away in ravine... either way they are safe but rather camped

    This is looking promising
~2hrs in Marjami as SMN and got nothing. Most of the times I couldn't even get the at least 3 necessary evaluations to be eligible for cape. How can people actually achieve that? Everything dies so fast and there hardly is anybody to cure with everything dies 1 second after it popped and Garudas spamming Healing Wind (which doesn't even grant you a lot of points btw)
    >4hrs in Yorcia Wield and aside from the fact those Colo reives suck completely, I didn't get anything but logs.

Only mantle I got is a RUN one from a >14hrs Yumcax which, yeah, decided it would have been a nice present to only drop a mantle for me.
    I'm loving this <3

Think SMN may not be the best job though. I'll try again in Marjami with PUP next time.

If I go on SMN to do Lair Reives, I have to spam barspells to get enough evaluations for items.

I would like to share a weird anomaly that happened to me in a Colonization Reive. This goes agains the "You need 3 evals to get a cape!":

I was feeling mischievous, so I want into a colo. reive, Holy II'd a bird for 42 Dmg, ran to all the afk's on the left side, died and MPK'ed 5 people that were curebotting afk.(fuck yeah).

Now the funny part is, i was alive for about 15 seconds. While i was dead, and watching the bird wail on people, Reive ended and I got a BST Cape (Pastoral).
I literally did 42 Dmg, Received about 1200 damage. Was alive for less than 15 seconds (got 1 evaluation while i was dead, and then final).

My whole point is, while 3 eval's may help, it's not necessary to get a cape. I believe as long as you participate somehow (not just afk). You do have a chance of getting cape.

    Done.

Uhm... so the 3 eval thing is not right.
But most of those 2 hrs I spent in Marjami I not only didn't get cape, I just didn't get anything at all, not even logs or stuff. Sometimes I would end up with like 600 bayld if not even lower.
    Uhm...

This "3 eval not needed" thing might actually be good though I suppose, I dunno, I'm still not a big fan of those colo that last 10 seconds in Marjami, they're just not entertaining. As much as I guess anything done too much stops being entertaining, in the end

Btw has it been mentioned, maybe in the JP forums, why these capes have no itemlevel? Or is it maybe that the "Back" slot in general doesn't have itemlevel at all?

My feeling is if you receive 0 items you either:
    a) Didn't do the minimum threshhold to receive an item.
    b) you got a cape that you already had

I find with Colonization Reives, this seems to be the case. Possibly because they go on much longer than a Lair Reive, and with the way evaluations work now - it just has a larger pool to split. (In the sense that everyone gets something now, even if you don't do a damn thing.)

On the otherhand, Lair Reives never go on as long as Colonization Reive, so you'd probably never see the same behavior there.. unless that Lair Reive was dragging on for quite some time.

    a) yes but how do you know what this threshold is? You said you got a cape doing simply a HolyII, I'm pretty confident I got more bayld than you in those very fast Colo reives.
    b) could be, it's the way 99% of things work in this game when it comes to drops, but someone a couple of pages ago was pointing out that keeping capes actually increase the odds of receiving a cape you don't have, because the drop rate % remained the same, while instead if a cape that you already have dropped, it would have brought the drop % down, but it didn't.

How did you get an evaluation while you were dead? But yeah dieing and taking a bunch of dmg seems to usually qualify you for an item

You can get (at least one) evaluation while dead, the exp/bayld are stored until you get up. And yeah you definitely don't need more than one evaluation to get a cape, more evaluations (or more bayld/exp? idk) just seem to increase the rate of the second drop slot loading.

Well that's what I mean you aren't really getting the eval you are storing it lol. So was wondering if maybe the game counts all the subsequent ones where you would get it if all as you getting evals but nothing happens cause you dead

I'm pretty sure only weapon, grip/shield, ammo (for smn and pup), head, body, hands, legs, and feet are going to have item level.
