Another episode of Superstar K aired recently featuring Weirdo Neo. He passed through to the top 13. Then it showed him calling his parents, and they told him not to come back to Korea (even though he's already there) and that they don't want to see him. Yeah, they wanted him to just go to a school in Seoul and study something boring then get a desk job like everyone else. He went against them and moved to Alaska to study English, then got himself accepted to Berklee in Boston to try and become a musician. I'm sure you can fill in an asian parent stereotype to figure out how well that went over.
