Might be able to grab either a MadCatz MLG (like new), TE Round2 (used), or SFxT PRO line (used) for $80 or less shipped.

Should I pull the trigger, and if so, on which? I was going to grab the PRO until the other two popped up, and the list I have from shoryuken is a little old.

i'd definitely snag one at that price, $80 for a sanwa stick is a great deal. as others have mentioned though, madcatz usually has a model or two on sale for $80 during majors, and VXG is this week. if you can wait a couple days it may be worth trying for one of those rather than taking any chances on used stuff (unless you know the seller and can trust that they haven't ragesmashed their stick across the room)

I was confident I could nab it for less than 80, and if I cant, I'll wait till VXG as a few people have mentioned. I'm impatient, but not that impatient. $80 for a new one will win me over any day, but if I could get this for 60-70 it might be hard to beat.

Is there any reason people are going to VxG? Right now the player lineup looks worse than every road to Evo event (except for UFGT that was terribad) and this event is supposed to be bigger than those.

Huh? Looks to me like pretty much anyone who is anyone is going from the US (Fchamp, EG, Chrisg, obv. VxG peeps) + Ryan Hart/Whiteblack. I would imagine the only one that could be considered better is CEO. But again they are marketing the draw as vacation with tournament on the side, not a tournament at the beach.

That's a pretty bad example, with 2 assists and a meter you should really be able to hit at least a million.

I'd be interested to see like what Shinebox posted the other day about SF4 combo damage per character applied to marvel, how Dante would stand in a list of all character's solo combo + a meter.

Looking at the video again Dante started with no meter, so I guess I was comparing apple and oranges, but the truth is in a game where characters like Zero, Vergil, Spencer can solo combo for a million with a meter easily, Dante is going to get lumped into the guys that do "no damage", even though he's probably just average in that regard.

...he did 920k and built 2 meters. Dante can easily do 750k/build 2 meters solo as well. His entire potential with DT combos isn't even close to fleshed out yet. He is the most fair character in a game full of broken chars, but he doesn't need more damage. Compare him to Nova, who builds less meter and does only slightly more damage.

How do you use an example that ends with 0 bar and compare it to 920k building 2, using 1? Yes, Viper is solo, and dante used 2 assists, but dante didn't even use DT <_<

When you compare damage that's 80k apart, where one uses 2 meters and the other uses 1, but they both build the same, I think meter significant/relevant.

I'd say it's a wash canceling out the requirement to have your entire team alive and being unable to confirm off an assist.
