Quick question for you guys living in US: I usually play fightan with a MadCatz fightpad but they are incredibly rare in EU or extremely overpriced (100$ for a pad minimum). I'll be going to EVO, will I be able to find them in a local video game shop (Gamestop and whatever else you have there) or are they just as rare in the US? Also, what's the usual price? They usually die kind of fast so I usually buy them in bundle, but they're so rare compared to 3 years ago in EU.

MadCatz will have their own booth at EVO selling plenty of pads and sticks with good sales, usually $10-20 off normal retail. Go as soon as the ballroom opens though, shit sells out fast.

BrawlPads can be found at GameStops for super cheap, but are rare. If I spot one at a gamestop near me I'll nab it and you can buy it off me at EVO.

I actually have the Madcatz pads released around Super for both 360 and PS3 that I never use and have just been sitting in a box for years.

I've had the same one for PS3 for 4 years now, I mainly use the ones on 360. I think I've bought like 8 by now, they tend to have issues with the cable and the buttons. I was playing Injustice an hour ago and the left shoulder button just died mid fight, no idea how.

I already have a TE, but I probably wouldn't reach my pad level on a TE by the time EVO is up. I don't have much time to train due to work so the little I train, it's better if I just use what I've been using all these years.

I'm actually about to go thru the fun process of stripping a PS2 controller and wiring it up to a 360 board. Sole purpose being that I can't play Marvel on a stick anymore since I mostly just practice on my Vita, and I haven't had any luck finding a usable 360 pad with the dpad/stick configuration (I. E. Pad on top).

Why don't you just use a PS3 pad on 360? Or even a PS2 pad directly. Converters are really cheap.

I wish there was a way to use Saturn controllers on 360, they cost 5£, I could just buy 10 and be fine for the next decade.

pretty sure a lot of the converters introduce input latency, and there's one particular brand (the name of which i can't recall) that has a rep for mangling both players' inputs.

anecdotally, the PS2 -> GC converter i briefly used like ten years ago had both issues.

Converters generally suck, and soldering up stuff is no issue since it's part of my day job anyways.

Basically registrants are way higher this week than they were two weeks ago, so pools had to be added to Friday afternoon. Rather than being psyched at this possibly being the biggest Injustice tourney to date outside of EVO, being grateful that they're getting 14 hours of stream time(tied for #1 with Marvel and Project M) over the weekend, or even just glad that top 8 isn't at 9am this time, people are flipping shit because they booked their travel months before the schedule was announced, assumed that they would be playing on Saturday even though the registration page says you may end up playing on Friday, and are now mad that they might potentially be in a Friday pool when they're only coming for Saturday, when all majors these days start on Fridays. Bunch of entitled faggots who whine regardless of how much they are given.
