Hmm how strange that their wikipedia page was deleted but I don't know why since I am not familiar with the structure of wiki editing rules on new companies. It just seems like some gamer some place would contribute an info page when you consider how quick we are to make wiki pages about games and their companies.

I believe clauf is just backed by private investors. So far the best that I can discern was that ESGN was given an initial cash disbursement which they spent very poorly on high-rent locations and such, while at the same time creating very little actual content and almost no revenue streams(when you actually watched ESGN they would only have a couple hours of content each day and the rest was repeating it or a we'll be right back image and I don't think I saw ads for more than one sponsor, just the one brand of gaming chairs).

I still think their productions were great by the end of S2, but they made a lot of choices that seemed to be focused all on creating a product rather than making sure there was/finding someone to sell it to, like trying to play to a US audience, but broadcasting in the middle of business/school days.

Marvel isn't progressing at all at this point so it's not like there's much to see. Majors can still be fun for some hype (or hilarity at xf3 comebacks), but the game isn't going anywhere at this point.

It's for sure still gonna a tourney mainstay for a while, however good or bad that may be.

Seriously, I have no reason to watch WNF or TRB anymore. NSFW Fridays is starting to cover KOF, and Rebel Up gives me my anime/Gundam fix. If I'm desperate to watch Marvel, I'd rather turn on the Salt Mines stream to listen to Viscant stories (even though they're in the process of relocating because of the break in).

Also doesn't help that West Coast believes in starting their events god awful late.

Good shit to East Coast. NLBC has been popping for SF4 the past couple of weeks, and it's only going to get more insane.

Also, yes I was reading that article linked above ^ about the cash troubles, lavish spending. The openness about the problems with pay that he wrote in the emails is kind of shocking. I guess I am just used to hearing that kind of evidence or internal financial issues being covered up and never spilled so openly in an internal email like that.

Then again, it is more scandalous if it is a publicly traded company that cannot afford the potential damage to stock prices should info like that be found so maybe it is more common in smaller companies to be hush hush about potentially not being able to pay employees.

Everyone I know used Twitch or watched it after on YouTube, it seemed like the entirety of the revenue they had in place was YT views to date, I don't recall them even having a partnered Twitch channel at the time of them broadcasting Fight Night.
