I wouldn't blame Smash so much as Jebailey poorly scheduling things. It lasts forever yes, but when something goes twice it's planned length that has to partly be on the TO for poor scheduling.

I don't know why they show multiple versions of smash on stream. That's like having a Super, AE, Ae2012, and ultra tourney and streaming it all....

True dat. I'm going to bet Jebailey didn't do much research on the length of Smash matches at all. I can easily say Smash is the one tournament that should be invitation only; they could limit it to 64~128 players. That and/or hold an entirely new tournament JUST for Smash. He has the resources to do either.

I think the biggest problem is just wanting to have everything on the main stream. If VGBootcamp was covering the Smash finals this tournament would have flowed much better.

Yea, this is likely the issue. Smash just recently returned back to the FGC, so no reason why it should have gotten as big a slot as it did.

I hope CEO gets it together, I want it to be the go-to tournament instead of EVO, personally.
