Gen's crane cr.HP has a crazy counter hit modifier. It does and takes way more CH damage than any other move.

In order for people to play well against Gen they have to try the character.

Gen has an absurdly strong ground game. Probably some of the best normals.

Gen suffers 50% more damage on counterhit if it's Crane c.HP. If he does damage, it's 180 damage and a potential juggle state on CH.

He also said that a large part of people not knowing how do deal with him was because they didn't know the matchup.

And ok, let's say Gen is cheap. Cammy and Akuma are still more cheap. They're like steam sale bargain basement cheap in comparison. All Gen needs is a little damage "normalizing" and he'd be as fair as fair can be.

To be fair, you sort of provoked it by using a combo that is not match practical. Not to mention the opening move is punishable.

In what world is damage more than situationally relevant to cheapness factor in SF4? Again, Deejay is not considered cheap and his super and ultra does massive damage. TAP punch does massive damage. E. Ryu does massive damage, I don't think anyone thinks he is cheap because of it. Cammy is just as cheap with reduced damage because that's not what makes her cheap, same thing for Akuma. Same thing with Fei Long. Are Juri or Oni cheap because they can do 600 damage combos?

Seth does ass damage in general, is he not cheap because his damage is lower?

Zangief can do 50% landing an ultra, is that cheap?
