Did you seriously just ask who the fuck Mike Watson is? Wow I'm not exaggerating when I say that's on the same level as not knowing who John Choi, Alex Valle or Jason Cole are.
I joined the FGC last year. Who is Jason Cole? I barely know of John Choi because Gems Chen mentions him at every turn and he has played in tournaments recently.
Why does this still come as a surprise to you? Cut me some slack.
Jason Cole is very old school, won Evo for Super Turbo the first year it was called that iirc?
Tekken X Street Fighter Is Still A Thinghttp://www.siliconera.com/2013/08/02...n-development/It’s been about three years since Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada announced Tekken X Street Fighter. Five Tekken games have been released since the original announcement – Tekken Hybrid, Tekken 3D: Prime Edition, Tekken Tag Tournament 2, Tekken Card Tournament, and Tekken Revolution.
What’s going on with Tekken X Street Fighter?
"We will say first off that the game is still in development, so you don’t need to worry about that. There are several reasons why we haven’t released any updates. One of the reasons is, Street Fighter X Tekken was released. That still had updates until recently. One interesting thing we’ve seen with that title when it came out was that it’s not quite what we expected," Harada said speaking to Siliconera.
"It was not just Tekken fans and Street Fighter fans merging, there seems to be a whole new community growing around that title that wasn’t playing either of the titles up until that point. That was very unexpected, but quite cool. It’s something we want to take care and grow. Rather than throw out our title right away while those people are still interested in [Street Fighter X Tekken] we are looking for the right time because we are still developing [Tekken X Street Fighter]."
In an earlier interview with Siliconera, Harada explained Tekken X Street Fighter will use Tekken’s Limb system which has buttons for right foot and left fist instead of fierce or strong attacks. Harada also told Siliconera the game will be more Tekken-like and Ryu would have more close up techniques, but still have his fireballs. I asked Harada if he could give us more details about the gameplay and if the roster has been decided.
"We are making progress, but everything is secret so we can’t say anything about that," Harada laughed.
Even if we ignore the fact that Watson is unquestionably one of the top 3 all-time American ST players, he owns and runs Super Arcade in LA, home of WNF. Literally 20 years after his first major win, the guy is still relevant.
Alright, that's cool. I don't watch WNF or TRB generally because they run so late for my time. I never said he was irrelevant or anything like that, I just didn't know who he was.
Does Jiyuna wear an american flag wherever he goes? rofl http://t.co/RsBsHS4I3V
I first learned who Daigo was watching videos of him playing Lion in VF4 when the game first came out so I could learn the character.
Didn't even know he was a SF player until years later.
SORRY FOR NOT KNOWING WHO EVERY BEHIND THE SCENES PLAYER (FROM 20 YEARS AGO) IS GUYS.
jeez.
Meanwhile: Daigo Manga.
