Edit: Blind.
So when is this getting implemented? In August in the next version update?
August 6th
I recall reading somewhere that jobs were being added to one or more of the macc staves. Was BRD added to Atinian Staff?
Ah, so at this time it appears to be only that particular staff. Bummer.
Hey you still get soothsayer so no big loss lol
Google Translate, but you get the point:
Currently, out of the performance of the shield can be confirmed on a test server,
Will be adjusted to the much smaller value, the value of the "shield skill +".
Because, to conduct the review of the calculation criteria regarding trigger percentage of the shield,
Although it was a value that was given on the assumption that review,
As a result of the verification, against (which is equivalent to 110 and fix the level by force) monster that exceeds the strength above a certain level,
That trigger percentage of Ohan resulting in decreased approximately 30% was found.
Therefore, so as not to change the activation frequency of the shield current, as well as separating the reference data,
I go to Replacing the value according to the data prepared freshly "shield skill +".
Under the assumption that all of these bonus stats will be needed for new content, Atinian will put SCH at roughly the same level (or slightly ahead of) RDM. If this is the case, there is no real reason to bring RDM since SCH is even more gersatile than RDM.
I should know better than to debate numbers at all with you, but assuming you macc aug the soothsayer it's 32 macc difference with 8 more mind/int than atinian. You know better than I do how int/MNd will equate to macc but that makes the difference even less. Considering the Magian macc staves are macc+35 (bg wiki numbers) I'm not going to complain one bit about a 5x increase over what I had before.
I'm also viewing this as a purely magic acc debate since any job I consider a true nuking class at this point in the game for event purposes are blm and sch only and have access to atenian. Rdm is brought to our delve events for a long ass haste on the sch, refrsh on geo, back up cure, and tier2 enfeebs along with the ability to stick silence/grav. Sorry this is concise since in on my phone but have to heartily disagree with your post. I'm more than happy about this gear and I am someone who has made every single macc staff...
I'd be more mad that blu gets no macc from this update unless you actually use the club and that's what 50 or so?
Idk, RDM still seems viable to me. Though my SCH and RDM are geared almost exactly alike these days save for the 10% potency on body, tier 2 enfeebs and refresh II, (which actually has been useful recently).
In other news, tier 2 nukes seem somewhat broken. Tossing out 1k damage every 3 seconds for little mp, and nearlyto no recast is nice, and the boost to base damage from staffthe is going to be nicer.
I have an eerie feeling that BLMs will be used in clearing (probably Yorcia) 5nm+boss. Something about that zone will require heavy magic dps, which t2 nukes can now supply (to an extent). Kinda like how Ceizak goes more smoothly with RNG.
Manaburn clears don't seem terribly outlandish in the current zones. Streamlining magical output between 14 or so BLMs and coordinating their survival is a headache I don't think anyone wants, though
Didn't necessarily mean a whole alliance of them, just a single party to make certain aspects of it go faster (muyingwa, mastop for example)
If you mean by overcomeing a gimmick (like in mastop), mnks would do it better with formless. Even if you design a mob that takes sever magic dmg, mnks with formless would do prolly better. Magic is dead atm, DPS of it is just too low compared to melees not to mention the enmity issues if DPS of it would be up on par with melees. Just throw mnks with formless at it. /run might be an option too if its the mob requires really alot of magic dmg.
