I couldn't tell you what I did. I recall polishing glasses, then removing a piece of glass from the finger, spitting a lot of blood and people being very kind to me. There is a lot of blood in fingers! The wound looks really good actually, but the finger itself is somewhat swollen.

in my 8th grade science class they thought it was a smart idea to do those little blood type kits, basically you stab your finger with this little metal thing, and squeeze a drop of blood onto two different circles, if it reacts in one of them then A, the other is B, etc. teacher says "fingers are tough so make sure you poke it hard enough to bleed" guy in the back lifts it up to his head and slams it down, causing enough blood flow that the person next to him got really woozy and almost fainted

sounds like you got lucky. ~15 years ago my mom was cleaning a glass, it shattered. she had to go to the ER. turns out it severed a bunch of nerves around her thumb. For a long time afterwards she would get spots where it really really hurt for a week or two, and then she'd pick out a new chunk of glass that had worked its way to the surface. She still has patches that don't feel anything.

Wow, that sounds pretty bad. Somehow I hit the top of the knuckle of my index finger. The foot of the glass broke, and I think I stuck the part I was holding in my right hand into it as I was still polishing. There is nothing but bone and blood there, so yeah, I was extremely lucky really. Could have been pretty bad.

Qalpal or anyone, how do I get office 2010 to work in windows 8? It wants a office 2013 key from me and won't talk to me otherwise. The guy in the store said it was fine to use 2010, I can't find any decent info on it anywhere, mostly people say there is a demo version of it installed, but I don't think I have that. I feel technically retarded.

Never used 2010 version so don't know much about it. Depending on what you need to do, if you have a skydrive account Luci you can use their web apps version for word, pp, one note, and excel. There's also the free month trial for 2013 or if you don't mind ugly aesthetics I could give you Office XP >_>

I don't have an actual copy, just the activation code, since it was pre-installed on my last computer. It doesn't let me choose any other code that 2013. It's not a huge problem yet, but it would be nice to get it sorted.

lol, not even fucking kidding but if it's not a thing you want to deal with there are a few programs that "fix" Windows 8. Look up "start8", "start is back" and "start menu 8". The first 2 are paid and the last is free and they're each a little different.

Oh god, thank you! Gonna check those out. I must say, I didn't expect it to be this terrible. I could deal with the ugly, but the bs I have to go through just to turn off my computer is killing me.
