The NY Times does not require subscription at all. Never has unless you want to leave comments and email the editor.
I think the Pope has gone further to mend a broken catholic faith than anyone since John Paul. He's only been His Holiness for 9 months. Give him some time. Maybe by the time he dies the Catholic church will have forgotten all about the evil gays and baby killers...That is a huge leap of faith though.
Ultimately I think the point here is while the Pope is doing the best he can at least he isn't Archi trying to post a link.
