Need some help. Strange league, but its a large $$$$ league so I want some outside advice.

I have the #4 Pick in the following league setup:

12 Teams
1 PPR
QB, WR, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, K, DEF

6 Points per PASSING TD
25 yards per point; 3 points at 300 yards; 1 points at 350 yards; 2 points at 400 yards

6 Points per Rushing/Catching TD
10 yards per point; 3 points at 100 yards; 2 points at 150 yards; 2 points at 200 yards

If I assume Charles/AP/McCoy go in the first 3 picks, do I take Manning here? The 6 per passing and bonus points that he should regularly get seem like too much to pass. If not Manning, who? Megatron vs Forte? Post why! Thanks

6pt passing tds really ruin everything. I would take Forte because the drop from him to Lacy and other RBs is more significant that the drop from Manning to Brees and Rogers. That's just me though. Some people get absurd hardons for qbs and I am not one of them. Chances are one of the top 3 QBs does not make it back to you, but that also means there is a chance one of the top 5 WRs does. Can always get a guy like Brady, Stafford, Foles in the third. IDK WELT

Also, there is a 0% chance I'll land one of the top 3 QB at my slot in the 2nd round, which is the only reason I'm considering Manning at #4 I will probably go with Forte or hope someone in the top 3 takes Manning and I grab someone like McCoy.

First I would hope one of the top 3 guys picks a QB. If not then I agree Forte would be the pick but just hope you can snag Foles (or Stafford but I don't like him) coming back.

Also if most people pick a QB don't grasp at the Rivers and Romos of the world too early, just load up at WR.

I feel the gap between the higher and lower tier RBs is smaller than the gap between the higher and lower tier QBs. Especially in a 6pt Passing TD and bonus league like that. I would take Manning if Charles, McCoy, AP are off the board. Also with a full 1 pt ppr, 3 slots, and yardage bonuses, WR > RB. Much easier to get a 100, 150, 200 yard receiving game than rushing. After the top 3, RB value goes way down.

I honestly think its going to come down to Manning / Megatron / Forte in that order for me.

If a QB like Foles or Stafford doesn't make it back to me in the 2nd round, I wouldn't have a chance at winning IMO. Too big of a gamble it is also a $1k league, so the players aren't idiots.

I did a 6-point passing TD league last year, also negative .5 points for a sack. The third most points in the league? Phil Rivers. Fifth? Andy Dalton.

If you think Manning will have 50+ TDs then by all means take him. If not, wait on a QB bro.

Hahahah, fair enough. I just know they have been playing a long time, and I got in finally after trying for years because a guy left the country and can't make the draft any longer. it is a work league.

The 3 guys who run it are out of the Boston office, so blame it on Pats' fans!

Im looking at VBD charts for a 6pt passing td league, obviously it doesn't take your yardage bonuses into effect but manning grades out to score about 6 more points than foles a week which pummels the difference between the top RBs and guys like Demarco Murray and Montee Ball. Whatever you do don't take Megatron. He isn't far enough ahead of Demaryius, Julio, Marshall, Dez, or AJ Green to warrent passing on one of the top 3 qbs or top 4 rbs.
