Before we make all of these monster pages, I think the template could use some adjustments/additions. The top table should have movespeed and monster size on it. The 'Duration' on the TP ability table would make more sense IMO to replaced by a more universal 'Notes' column that lists things like durations, physical damage types, DoT strength, etc. Range/target type should probably have a column as well. And this is just me being OCD but TP cost being all the way on the right is kinda weird, I would put it between ability name and ability description.
EDIT: The TP ability table should also be renamed 'Monster Skills' like in-game.
It does. I spent a bunch of time leveling on the brd/blm/mnk/nin yags by the high priest in castle o, and elegy never landed once.
Something interesting to note that the beetle despite being a pld is highly susceptible to sleep
Well resist job traits work a lot differently than actual resist/meva. AFAIK they just give you an extra roll with a static 'Resist!' chance.

The traits are tiered thou, I'd be surprised if resist sleep 1 is anything more than 5-10%
I ran DRK+Cactuar+Mandy and Power attack still did a bit more than a normal attack on EP. Probably a STR mod actually since the gap seemed to widen as I leveled.
On that note, though, do we have the glorious 3.0 ratio cap? Can we work back some base damages or something? I'm loading up +85 attack in a few levels and wanna know it's doing work...
also need something for attack/def modifier, since different mobs get different bonus when you equip instincts.
wouldnt be surprised if monstrosity monsters cap at 4 like normal mobs do. fairly simple test but I need some more instincts to do it properly.
I've noticed something similar to the 1.0 cRatio 'spike' at a higher point for mobs. Could be 2.0 actually, which would fit with a 4.0 ratio cap. If true, that's a good way to estmate base damage too.
A quick histogram at capped, high, and low ratios could tell us a lot of what we've been missing about mob damage.
Dear diary: Today I put away one of my oldest preconceived notions - Killing a DC doesn't 'reset' your exp chain, you just have to still kill another EM+ in the time limit. Yes, you can kill that BST pet first.

Which instincts would people recommend working towards asap? I only have rabbit to 30 and tiger to 40 currently, and have bought DRG instinct for the acc+. I'm intending on getting WAR and DRK next, but after that i'm not sure. Some easy to get haste/da/ta would be nice.
