Seems stupid to give Chigoe an attack penalty when it already can't use any abilities or anything. Does attack speed make up for it? High evasion?

It does have increased attack speed though it's not like really huge eyeballing (though if you look at it's bouncing too much it seems like he's on fire always hopping around lol) ... but that only really makes up for the lack of tp moves... or would if ya know didn't have the attack penalty. Evasion is higher than other mobs but it's a thf so it better be lol. I can't tell you how painful it was getting it to 60. Fighting just EM/T/VTs and still hitting for 0s occasionally and averaging like 1/6 the dmg my scorpion had on the same mobs at the same lvl. Out of all the mobs I've lvld it's the first one where nuking actually improved my dps.... and by a decent amount at that
lvl 30 antlion gets mandibular bite. Unlike the scorpion version this has no text about knockback and costs 130 tp instead of 100. Still says 200% dmg but hopefully it's actually more but done with antlion for now. Also no change in move list between /war and /blm
Now to give you an idea of the insane att difference between chigoe and the rest a lvl 62 pld/pld beetle has 281 att, 61 war/war scorpion has 315, 60 thf/thf chigoe has 141 <.<. I understand war mobs having more att then pld and maybe even a tiny bit more for pld then thf but cmon that's almost double lol. Also to note the scorpion has about 50% more hp then the chigoe too oddly the beetle has a bit less than the scorp too
I think there are some hidden bonus/traits to each race. for example i lvld now raptor with same instincts and same lvl on same spots on the same mobs as coeurl (only to lvl 30). And everythign is conning low def, while on coeurl everything was low def and low eva. I'm inclined to believe coeurl has some accuracy bonus modifier or so.
Leveling Lynx in Zerhun Mines, lv 68 now and just got Stone IV... There is no bloody way in hell i can get this *#$# spell off in combat. I swear a simple breeze hits me and my spell is interupted. Even with the interuption rate down instinct on. Tier 3 i can get off 60% of the time in combat but t4 i have to open up with. ick. Now i just melee the bats as they seem weakest against Lynx where as on white tiger i was killing the worms first. Just noticing the difference between the two species strengths.
I knowone level later and i now start off with firaga III hehe, then i just melee away and read book
Just wish i had a lot more magic attack and magic accuracy instincts. Got on all that i could find and not enough. Guess i'm thinking too much like blm and not enough like rdm melee
Chigoe's attack speed boost is pretty substantial, and I would be unsurprised to discover that it is counted as Haste comparable to the other bonuses. So if they have an innate 25% Haste, stacking another 25% puts them at 50%. Honestly, it sucked to level to 60 but it was better than I anticipated. Once we get percent based attack boosts and more access to Haste instincts I may give it another shot.
No hence why im opening with a nuke and meleeing, but im blm/rdm lynx so me melee isnt as great as whm/thief tiger which had an easier time at an earlier level here. Worms would be fun to sattalite blast but the dam things have high magic resist. Oddly on tiger the worms were the easiest to kill as melee. Lynx has a difficult time it seems with them.
Is it just me or does Vampiric Lash on morbols do a realy piddly amount of damage? When I use it at lvl 11 it only does 13 points of damage, whereas Impale does 65.
Never seemed that fast to me but then I don't think I've used any super slow mobs. Could do some testing now that I have more haste. Thing does seem to triple attack alot though. That said would need alot of +atts to compensate enough for the att nerf. But should get enough where wont have to lvl off of like dc/em
Well fighting VT/IT without macc gear and merits and such kinda makes sense. Usually once I get into the T/VT range at least around lvl 52-60 when I actually bother using blm I tend to do more like 150-200 drains and ~50ish aspirs without using any insctincts for it. This was on chigoe and bee not sure about others.
But yeah I'm sure if you put on the few macc instincts and int it would probably help especially at higher lvls when when presumbably your mob will have more dark skill and have a bigger range iirc
