So finally got all vermin to 99 and nothing special no new quests or unlocks or anything.
So finally got all vermin to 99 and nothing special no new quests or unlocks or anything.
So just to recap on the gear. Fiend torque can evolve into Animosity Torque, Laceration Torque, or Goetic Torque. Augment paths for those are
Path A: 15 hp
Path B: 15 mp
Path C: 8h/7mp
Animosity Torque can evolve into Analgesia Torque or Hamrammr Torque. Laceration Torque can evolve into Ensnaring Torque or Sverrir Torque. And finally Goetic Torque can evolve into Farr Torque or Melioration Torque. Augments are as follows
Analgesia Torque:
Path A: 35 hp/mp
Path B: 35 hp, 8 evasion, 10 def
Path C: 35 hp, 4 mdb.
Hamrammr Torque:
typeA: hp+35, attack+8
typeB: hp+35, str+3
typeC: hp+35, pet attack +10
Ensnaring Torque:
path A: 35 hp 8 racc
path B: 35 hp 8 ratt
path C: 35 hp pet acc +10
Sverrir Torque:
Path A: +35 hp, +8 acc
Path B: +35 hp, 8 eva
Path C: +35 hp, +3dex/str
Farr Torque:
path A: 20 mp 6 macc
path B: 20 mp 6 mab
path C: 20 mp 3 mab/macc
Melioration Torque:
path A: 40 mp, 3int/mnd
path B: 40 mp, 3macc/chr
path C: 40 mp, pet: 5macc/mab
Thanks for the hard work! it seems like only Melioration Torque is worth it, for the die hard SMNs, that's best in slot I think.
Roc III is +30 evasion, -5pdt and resist silence +40 for 9 points
Best for pet mab and 2nd best for macc I think. Pet att/acc I think are best in slot too but that would be super hardcore lol. I think mdb anal might be halfway decent. But overall highly disappointing gear period made even more disappointing by the effort it takes to make. Oh well at least I can go back to leveling where I want to again instead of living in buburimu lol. And can finish leveling my mule

Something like that. Remove Bee II and Colibri I for Manticore II if able. The simulacrums are BLM instinct and Taru II for refresh, it definitely helps and also provides some INT. You want about 54-57+ INT and based on the monster, their base INT is like 26-37 as low/high as I've seen. Some monsters you will end up with 1% left on the mob due to their INT, I think Treant was the worst because it was the 26 base INT IIRC. Nothing you can really do either, this is sadly the best set up you can get with what we have available. Don't forget wind weather constantly giving the -10% damage proc also. Your Stone IIs will do literally anywhere between 460-631 (630ish was with Gnat, he was the best so far I think). Monsters there have about 480-530ish HP.
Thanks. Looks like I lack Antlion II and Rafflesia II like I thought. Though I do have Manticore II.
Holy hell Buburimu has gotten crowded. 11 people doing monstrosity there right now. Also don't know if anyone noted it but fantod doesn't last long. like 20 sec or so
Largely luck dependent. Like for example bad luck means you might have to buy a 75 torque for 15k prestige than 3 +2 alloys to cap it and evolve than another 3 more to cap the 99 for a total of 135k prestige. On the other hand I've gotten a 99 torque already at rank 10 drop to me. Of course right after I made the exact same one lol
On top of that you have very little idea how much infamy enemy mobs have to take. And you have to win decently more than you lose to even break even assuming the people you fight have similar infamy as you have prestige.
For me farming infamy several hours a day then siphoning it off with a mule just attacking me in pvp while I don't fight back... rough guessimate probably only around 4.5 hours of actual pvp. Probably a solid 70 hours in monstrosity to get that much infamy.
Saw the wiki was missing the following instincts:
Bird I: STR+5, Resist Sleep+15, Double Attack+1% Cost 3
Colibri I: Magic Accuracy+10, Magic Attack Bonus+5, Madrigal+2 Cost 6
So as expected SA hoof volley is pretty sweet too. With AC I got 2800 one time I tried in Ul... but this was with no att or crit dmg or dex instincts.
That said when I tried SA AC fantod I got 2750 for the first hit and while there was no SA bonus for the 2nd hit just like falcorr it got the fantod bonus. And well there was no 3rd hit lol
Bubu is seriously borked with RoE and double xp. Somehow managed to get up to 224k/hr today, got Hippo from 30 > 62 in 1 hour. I think my hands are gonna fall off. They should make double monstrosity xp permanent.
What do you fight there for so many levels?
You go with belligerency status so you're capped at 30. You still get xp and lvl up. Usually I'll kill dhalmels, goblin leechers/muggers/gamblers, and crawlers. If RoE happens to toss out a kill aquans, I'll do crabs and fish, and the leeches around them as well.
Oh I see
Kills are only @180-260 a pop, but when you're 1-shotting things with stone2, it goes fast. For RoE I have 500+ damage, vanquish 1, monstrosity kills, earth/fire/water crystals, and conflict: bubu. Stone2 does over 500, so almost every cast counts except for occasional resists. Every 10 kills u get 600xp from conflict: bubu, then of course the damage and both kill quests are 5k xp a pop, and the crystal ones are 1k each every 10 crystals. It adds up fast. Took me about 5 hours to take treant from 40 to 90, and it has bad base INT for crappier nukes
Does my skill in magic effect how hard spells hit? I have the treant and stone 2 but the damage is pretty low. I only have BLM, Taru II, Eft 1, and Treant II instincts unlocked for more int.
Also, do we know if there are any plans to build upon monstrosity? It seems like they could do some really cool stuff with it.
Treant is a crappy nuker from low base INT anyways, but check Kainstryder's post above. He uses pretty much the same instincts I do. If you take out Bee II and Colibri I and put in Manticore II, you end up with INT+57, MAB+27, M.Acc+10, Earth MAB +30, and miscellaneous fast cast, spell interrupt down, and magic crit rate.
