The man was initially blinded after an industrial accident tore his cornea.

Twelve years later, doctors performed an osteo-odonto-keratoprothesis (OOKP), as no other treatment options had worked.

The OOKP works by implanting a tooth and part of the jaw into his eye. An artificial lens is then screwed into the tooth and then it is placed under the eye socket. A few months later, the tooth regrew tissues and blood supply. This is then transplanted into the eye. Because all of the tissue belongs to the patient, there is no rejection.

His eyesight is about 40% restored, which is enough to allow him to see the face of his 4 year old twin boys for the first time.

His eye is pink with a black pupil.

Yea its kinda deathstar meets portal in a russian factoryish kinda way. Shes a daredevil for sure, but man I would do that in a flash (sorry for the pun) even if it meant being in shitloads of trouble, those pictures are so worth. ^_^
