I got the Slime up to 62 yesterday. It does take a little bit of damage, but you can fix that by equipping instincts that give DEF like Beetle 1, Sheep 1 and there's one other that I forget, but it's a total +35 extra DEF which comes in handy. For attacking, obviously DRG instinct for the accuracy, and DRK instinct for Attack +50. If you have any extra points to use after those, use ones that add to your attack, like Bee 1, Rabbit 1, etc. It all adds up.
I went to Wajaom Woodlands at 58 Slime, and plowed through Colibri up to 62 with relative ease.
48 min to go from 47 amphiptere to 61 amphiptere in buburimu. This is ridiculous.
No new moves for amphiptere or sanguiptere at 60.
Amphiptere II is +50 Resist Sleep, -7% magic damage taken, Occasionally absorbs wind damage. 10 points.
yeah I went from 30 to 73 on spriggan just running around in a loop on a beech auto attacking anything in site for 6 or so hours
Nothing at 90 bird, 60 bat/apkallu/colibri
Bat II = hp +2%, agi +5, and +15 evasion. 4 points
Apkallu II = int +10, evasion +10, and pdt -5%. 10 points
Colibri II = Wind resist +30, evasion +3, and fast cast +10. 8 points
Like he said, nin/mnk for Inguza(apkallu). Have to bring your own tools to cast ninjutsu. Gets Whiteout does meh damage, sleep, and zombie.
Tukalibri is brd/thf. Gets Tremor tunor. Does meh dmg, tp reset, and all stats down
If you talk to Suibhne as a regular mandy you will get asked for an Ake-Ome spirit which is from new years event. Turns you into a regular looking mandy except instead of a stem coming out of your head leading to a sprout it is an orange. Also it's named new years mandy. It's mnk/nin and I'm not high enough to tell if it has unique moves
Also I just noticed the species names for slime and spriggan are "." lol
Yea they are just . . someone did report in the bug forum though already.
Did you happen to get a New Year's Gift while trading items? Doesn't really have anything to do with Monstrosity, but with the story concerning the Goblins in Xarca, kinda curious what you get from them. Gotten plenty of spirits out of 200+ items, but no Gift yet.
No, I ended up having a gift on a mule from last year, so I used that, because I couldn't get one after 200+ trades, so I said fuck it. The reward from the Xarcabard Goblin is the new bamboo furnishing, Okadomatsu, and it's fucking HUGE. You trade the gift, then a Kadomatsu furnishing, buyable from a Moogle in the cities.
I ended up getting the gift way before I got the spirit but random luck I guess. Think I actually got it trading the new years cake which doesn't even get used up trading lol
Hope someone might be able to shed some light on a question I have.
I'd like to get the Pigmy Adamantoise for the sake of having every mob type unlocked, and of course you need a Adamantoise Egg to do that. With the Blue Pondweed being available in the most recent log on campaign, it seems like a good chance to try and get one.
My best job is BLU, I have a 109 sword, and any sub that might best serve. Can I rip the basic NM turtle up solo and have a shot at winning? Or should I grab a few friends and pound it that way?
Any insight? Thanks!
Edit: Note I thought the regular Adamantoise dropped this based on the BGWiki, seems it is probably wrong, and thus the question is stupid. Sorry for the time waste.
You can kill NQ very easy on pretty much anything solo. HQ a single DD may have a hard time overcoming the regen
The nq was soloable at 75 lol.
The fun part was dragging it away from adds with draw-in so you didn't die and have someone steal it from you.
