Actually it has decently higher attack bonus. Regular slime is +10% she slime is 30%

So anyways red spriggan is still war/blm like regular but loses frentic flurry and gains jittering jig which is a 70 tp attack boost move. And Romp which is a 70 tp conal physical move. It also loses the 20% def boost regular spriggan had. Rest the stats the same

Purple spriggan is blm/war and only has frentic flurry for a move. Has a 20% def boost. They all have 10% att boost

It's a BLM/WAR and it has 1 tp move, Frizz. 100 TP, deals fire damage. 160 to a Goblin in Buburimu, so nothing special, but decent animation.

You definitely want a Regen instinct, preferably Morbol III and HP+ Instincts do nothing for it. Ruszor II with 300+ at Lv. 90 Slime gave it 16... and at Lv. 30 it has 42 HP.

The she-slime is just a WAR/WAR nothing different.
I lost my HNM status buying the starter things for aquans and haven't done anything in Monstrosity since, but I figured this was relevant to metal slime.

For the metal slime spirit and she-slime spirit, you need to get 130 points and buy all 3 metal and she-slime items. You get both a cutscene and get both at the same time. You have to be on slime to turn them in. Metal slimes randomly pop right after you kill another mob and immediately aggro you.

For some strange reason, the NPC is not giving me the "quest" to trade him the Metal Slime spirit. Am I missing something?

Have to be the Blue slime for him to give you the quest according to that guy. Could be it?

I figured it out. I had a major DERPY moment.

Speaking of the metal slime, it's SUPER evasive too on top of it's epic DEF.

Extremely high magic evasion/magic defense too. However, if you're concerned about monster balance and think it's going to be unbeatable, I think I may have found it's weakness: Drain. Just going by some quick testing, drains seem to at least partially bypass all Metal Slimes defences. Even with Morbol III, I got put into almost orange by a back-to-back drain from a couple of easy prey Goblin Gamblers. So, if you ever encounter a Metal Slime in future Mon Vs Mon battles, stack up on those Drain and Aspir potency+ instincts. Bio is probably going to be a central part of countering Metal Slime as well.

It's VIT is much lower than you'd expect a monster of it's sort (i.e. tank-y) to be so when you get crit, assuming your opponent can hit you, you might take more damage than you'd expect to.

Also, fun fact, Metal Slime is immune to poison.

All in all, I'm extremely pleased with Metal Slime. I love quirky stuff like this and it's really good to see that we're finally getting NM style traits, even if we're just starting off with certain immunities. Makes me excited for future additions and retroactive adjustments.

I'm not certain if the mob you fight and the Mon you control have the same characteristics, but the one you fight was also immune to Dia. Wasn't able to test obviously if it was immune to Bio. Went out to kill slimes as Geo/Rdm so I could Dia + Indi-Poison kite them around (til they ran away... -.-, and noticed that Metal Slime was immune to both of them.

Gotta say I like the direction they took it though. Not only is it just about as faithful as they can be to Metal Slimes in the DQ universe, but it shows that they're able and willing to give us very unique Mons to control. Good stuff for the system. :D

The wild metal slime is probably immune to magic to prevent easy kills. I mean the thing has like 4 hp lol

Ok, DQ autism overload, the Metal Slime actually makes the dragon quest sound effects for dodging, attacking, and spells.

I think there should be one more flan skin out there based on the dats. Probably opens at 50 or 60.

Was 30 actually. Which aligns with the info on bgwiki. Kinda curious how the unlocks got on there so fast especially since most haven't been mentioned yet in thread

FFXIAH.com also has very active monstrosity threads where a lot of the info comes from. A poster there mentioned he was updating bgwiki.

People seem to be able to level their monsters faster than you would think they could. think someone had like a level 60 something the first day. and then having more than one person working on stuff helps

For some reason the obdella unlock says 60 on bgwiki still >_>; But yeah I agree people plowed through these unlocks especially quick. Though it wasn't the biggest family so.

So here's one not on bg wiki. Alabaster flan. Wasn't paying attention so not sure when I got it but it was after 30 and at or before 70 lol. It's a whm/pld. It also has a unique move called Gush O' Goo lol
