Also based on typical practices at FBS schools and what I saw from UT people on Twitter yesterday, he's mostly full of shit. Athletes are provided student housing and their own dining hall for free. If he's paying rent at an off-campus apartment, that's his own bad decision, and it's hard to imagine he's actually going without food. His larger point about schools and coaches making massive profits off football programs while the athletes only get a scholarship is still very much valid, but there's no need for that kind of embellishment.

Ahh, yeah, must have been d2. I did a quick search and didn't see anything about this season but last season florida state had a d2 team do it as well, though it was in the second quarter after a lightning delay.
