Murray herped big time.
I called every single one of Bobo's playcalls on long yardage situations. 1st and 35? run it up the middle! 3rd and 1...go fucking deep!
No offensive identity early. We did not commit to a balanced offense early, and it let Clemson's D read us pretty easily. Which is mind boggling because we were able to run just fine in the later half of the game, but when we would get running Bobo would start calling dumbshit passes.
Big picture, does not honestly do much. Losing by 3 on the road to another top 10 team. What hurts is that Clemson and UGA are equal teams from my view last night, UGA was spastic and Clemson focused that first quarter and that was it. I love reviving this rivalry, but I thought McGarity was gonna start scheduling directional cupcakes like he did at Florida.
Still worn after a 12 hour tailgate at the TCU game. Good game to watch, hoping we can keep those mistakes few and far between
1st quarter Heisman update
10/11, 138 yards, 2TD.
Some receiver dropped a 20 yard pass for the only incompletion.
Edit: 12/13, 181, 3TD.
Hmm...I thought there sure were a lot of UGA injuries on defense when Clemson was rolling...
Malcolm Mitchell torn ACL out for year.
God fucking damnit.
Game was way closer than it should have been. Really happy with the way Mettenberger looked, it looks like working with Cameron had a big impact.
10 point game in 20 vs 12 sounds about right in the end. I'm sure there was some nervousness when we had the ball within a TD at the end. Maybe it should have ended closer
Yeah I'm not trying to sound like "that guy" - TCU played tough and the score was the score.
But as an LSU fan, seeing us stall inside the 5 multiple times, turn the ball over inside our own 5, and give up a KO return TD, I felt that it could have been a blowout. Obviously if you take out any team's mistakes then the score changes dramatically.
Mainly I just look at the total yardage being 450-250 and feel the margin should have been wider.
And the Buffs equal last season's mark with their first victory this season
yeah, Bama looked shitty from what I heard. good.
If you are talking about the 4th down with like 5 minutes left, that was a stupid decision. I was dumbfounded when it happened "...they're punting? down 10?"also patterson gave you guys the ball back for a reason, how he wasn't setting up pass first defense on that 3rd down is beyond me
I wouldn't say we looked shitty. Our o-line looked like it was their first game together. Our receivers dropped some passes that shoulda been caught. Overall though, we didn't need to do too much because of the defense/special teams, so we didn't. It was a very conservative game, considering who we play next I imagine they didn't wanna reveal too much of the offense for them to prepare for.
Here's how I saw it:
Patterson: Les Miles is turbl @ ending games. If I punt it here, I bet I can get him to run it up the gut twice and then actually throw on third down, giving us the ball back with almost 4 minutes left and a couple time outs.
But then he stacked the line and left both sides in single man coverage on that 3rd down and game was over.
