This isn't even a case of opinion, that's what I'm trying to get at. You can hate Walt Jr, and that's fine. You can hate him because of whatever reason. To say he didn't try to understand his Drug Kingpin father who just murdered his Uncle (whom he looked up to a ridiculous amount), is just plain laughable.

I never once said anyones opinion is invalid (except for the Tuco thing, but if you think I was being serious... lol)

He's had all of 2 min on screen interaction with his father since they told him all about the drug shit. I don't know where you're pulling this "he tried to understand his father" from when all I've seen is crying and him telling him to get out or die. Yeah that's trying to understand alright.

That's why IN MY OPINION, he's a little bitch.

IN MY OPINION he shouldn't be such a fucking mama's boy and at least try to understand his Dad's motives.

You can say it's laughable all you want, once again, just because you say it doesn't make it so.

That's what I'm saying. I didn't say he tried to understand him... I said not understanding WHY he didn't try to understand him and hating him for that reason is laughable.

Walt Jr. does take his fathers side at first, when hes told at the car wash he basically calls his mom a lying bitch. It's not till after Walt heavily imply's that Hank is dead the full weight of what is happening sets in. In five seasons he has chosen Skylar over Walt a total of once? I don't get all the anger/frustration in Walt Jr's reaction, at least not from a qualty of writing standpoint.

He's not a very likeable character, and never really has been... So sure, I understand that and hating how well he plays into it. Or just hating how he's scripted in general.

But, the kid is 100% justified in turning on his father. Gave Walt the benefit of the doubt at first and tried to find out his side, but, learning he killed Hank changes things... as if finding out his father constantly lies (Jr already was fed up with this) and was a major drug dealing, murdering kingpin wasn't enough to seriously damage their relationship (all from Skylar/Marie's biased point of view, no less). People have disowned their parents for far less.

Plus, finding out Walt literally lied about 98% of everything for so long, even if he did let Walt try to explain himself what would be the point? It'd be horrible writing to have characters that just keep going "Ok Walt, I know you won't lie to me again :3" all the way up to and past the murder of family.

Walt also (purposefully or not) ruined their lives, family, home and potentially took Skylar down with him. Oh yeah, and killed Hank.

tl;dr: Kid is now one step away from being adopted by the color purple, you’d be mad too.
