Just got an Ancient Incense Torch! Came with damage +7% and VIT, so I rolled the VIT into damage to elites. It's not perfect, but I'm pretty happy overall, been after it for a long time.

Interesting. Do I need to get the expansion to play D3 again? (As in, is it even worth playing again without the expansion?) Using a whirlwind build and eventually turning it into an infinite wrath build was pretty much my only reason for playing before.

Do note that HC makes a bit tougher to work some builds due to defensive needs. Mileage will vary.

Paragons were getting slow, at T6, once I hit P450, so this should be a nice increase this week. Dunno what to do with the extra gold, what with 2 billion already... >_>;

Hit the wall a few weeks ago. My luck with RNG is awful, and being flatly barred from improving due to needing a specific, well-statted weapon to drop killed my urge to play. Playing hours and hours a week with nothing to show for it but gold, paragon and hundreds of broken down, useless legendaries is no longer fun.

I'm of the mind that paragon leveling needs a rework in scaling at the later phases. I haven't played in a few weeks, but I think I was around 650 and MAYBE lucky to get a level in a day without forcing myself to farm mid-30s GR keys, which just fucking blows as trials are inane time wasters. Gimme T7-10 Blizz, or condense difficulties some and make a "new T6" harder than present.

this x10000 ive spent a solid 2 weeks 5+ hours a day and about 10-20k shards on kadala rolling for a Dagger of darts or the condemn shield on my wd and crusader. both are hard capped on gear till either shield or weapon drops.

Mmyep. 0 Heart Slaughters, 0 Furnaces, 0 Stones of Jordan, 0 Ancient set pieces. I've reached the point where I can't get any better without specific drops, and they're not happening.

I follow the same cycle:

1) Get a D3 itch
2) Roll a new char or brush off one I haven't played in forever
3) Play long enough to gear up sufficiently for the new meta at the time (e.g. M6 DH, Sunwuko MNK, Raek+FC Barb)
4) Get frustrated waiting for RNGesus to deliver additional upgrades
5) Quit until either #1 occurs again or a patch happens

That said, my PS4 Barb got stupid lucky with drops. Ancient Heart Slaughter, Furnace, Ancient Mara's, full Raekor's (2 ancient), Vile Ward, 1x Unity, Witching Hour, Chillanik's Chain, Cassius belt, RoRG with natural socket, etc. in 48 hours including the time to level 1-70. Shit was cray cray.

Set items that drop now won't be changed after the patch hits. You'll haveta get completely new set items after the patch to see the changes. Unless you're aiming for something else

For the most part, sets have been retroactive. Legendaries, however, have required finding new ones. This is part of the stink with the whole Zero Dog situation since people who don't have antiquated pre-RoS items can't make the same builds.

I have had some luck on my Crusader lately. I have gotten a Legendary belt with 43% Critical Hit Damage on it. Along with a couple of other items my DPS jumped from 1400k to 1722k in a few days. I also got a couple of extra Blackthorne's pieces that didn't interfere with my +1000 Strength from my Roland's pieces and Akkhan set.
