@Karbuncle: HAH! It was, too.

It's always blackthorne, hope we can find another afk spot because its great to run the game in the background and time an action every 10 or so min so the game doesn't auto disconnect.
If so many skills simply weren't so mathematically and functionally underwhelming, keeping people interested wouldn't be so hard. Yes, there's also the issue of content variety lacking, but it's probably fair to call a rifts a step in the direction of fixing that. That particular system just needs built on.
Right now, no matter how well you gear certain skills and even attempt to apply some common sense synergy, some are simply going to fall flat at T3+ due to lacking damage or poor utility (often related to proc coefficients). Playing HC doesn't change this. If anything, it just inflates the time to hitting that eventuality due to a higher weighting of defensive stats and playing more cautiously, but not particularly more poorly if you happen to favor SC (and I don't blame anyone who does with all this recent server lag shit).
But some also need to accept that without content patches or expansions, the game itself should not be designed in such a manner to force people to have to play months and then some just to put together the build they want. Some use this a springboard to justify trading and all the related shit that brings, but that's just a band-aid to the loot bullet wound. Not even Kadala having her weapons list broken down will fix that, as Blizz has taken RNG to another level with weighted distribution. Multiplying 1% odds against that is rarely, if ever, satisfying.
And I say this as someone who's gotten a few drops that have made others in clan drool. I want you guys to find good shit, too, just as much as I want to find more good shit. It makes the times we do team up more enjoyable, even if it is just for something as humble as powering a lesser geared player through things.
Or, you can play with the skills you find fun and just set the difficulty slider to a difficulty that you find fun at the moment.
Which is all well and good until they start locking drops to difficulties and soon ladders. But we're all aware of your ignorant belief that this isn't a loot-based game.
Had a good couple of days after a drought.
Yesterday: Strongarm bracers with near capped fire damage and a decent yellow amulet that was a good upgrade. Today: Finally my fucking Andarials! Decent rolls too. Though I can't decide whether to swap the Vit to Crit damage or Socket (for cooldown reduction).
Exactly why they shouldn't lock drops to difficulty. It encourages people to play on difficulties that they don't find fun--either because they are using abilities they don't enjoy, or are playing beyond their capabilities and are dying a lot, or are using boring exploits like chest/goblin runs--and will just lead to burnout.
pussies.
Finally got an upgrade to my weapons. Fulminator and didn't have to re roll shit! I might post later on this afternoon but guitarman said it was pretty good and I shouldn't re roll.
I find no reason to go above T2 pretty much ever.
The only reason you go up is because you can kill stuff within 15% of your clear time in the next lowest Tier, otherwise, you're not as efficient with drops/kill. That, or your trying for a specific crafting material/key drop off of specific mobs.
So I know that crafting materials drop from specific mobs, but what about plans?
I've been needing to craft some Aughilds/Asheara(sp?) sets, but just can't get the plans to drop.
plans are completely random, and count against your pity legendary
to put it simply they'll all drop within a couple weeks if you play a lot, don't stress it
Anyone know when patch 2.05 is coming out?
