The troubles of being poor :'<
Spoiler: show
I cannot for the life of me remember where you click on the chat log to drag it around.
Getting a lot of micro-stutter that I didn't get during P3. It's making running around very visually annoying.![]()
I clicked on the chat name (ie General, Battle, Event), no where else worked for me. Top right re-adjusts the window size.
Where are the lvl 17+ FATEs in the Noscea region?
man are AoE attacks OP for FATEs, Overpower spam all day and cap exp in seconds, was in the last 10--15% of the Goblin FATE near Aleport and capped in seconds >.>
Just tried out some PvP on my Monk. Even though it is imbalanced right now due to no PvP actions being in game, I sense this PvP has the potential to be really fun and epic once we get the full deal and RvR.
No question thread so I'll ask here. On early access after I sign up for GC where in Ul'dah do I go to get a Free Company?
The counter in the Immortal Flames area. You talk to the OIC Administrator or whatever. You don't have to be in a GC to make a Free Company, just level 25 with 15k gil and 3 other people to sign your charter.
So one area I struggled with was moving out of aoe damage circles. Not because of slow reaction though. As a mage I wasn't engaged to the mob so most times my character is not directly facing it. For instance usually it will look something like this:
Mob
Me (Facing this direction----->)
Now when I see the aoe cone I push up to run through the mob. Only pushing up (by up I mean "W") doesnt run toward the mob, it runs toward the direction you are currently facing which puts me right in the middle of the cone (in the case above to the right). Is there any way to adjust the config to make it where when you push W it moves your character in the direction based on the current camera angle rather than the way the character is facing?
don't quote me but i think thats the diff between the legacy and standard type in the movement settings under character config
That's legacy-type vs. standard-type movement settings (as stated), plus it sounds like you also have Standard-Type Camera Auto-Adjustment turned off (or your camera would automatically move behind you as soon as you ran).
Yeah, turn on legacy-style movement ASAP if you're used to XI and XIV (and even if not). I found standard tank steering controls unbearable. One of the reasons I disliked the game until that option was added.
