XIV is slow paced enough to ease her in to it at first. If she can actually read the help boxes that pop up ('cause most people are incapable of this) she'll prob be fine on her own, if not you showing her the basics will prob let her pick up the rest easily enough herself. I dunno if you played the beta or how much you did but pacing wise the game is real good at introducing new players. Each dungeon and guildhest tends to teach you a new mechanic one by one so she shouldn't get too overwhelmed. XIV has godly crafting and gathering is pretty decent too, so if she enjoys those she'll prob love it.
