If you're doing it with full iLv70 + optimal melds it will still push the limits of what your character can do. The Crystal Tower is meant to be done before coil.

why are tanks so bad at low lvls? May lvl pld after acn, but I don't want to be failsauce at it.

None of these DF plds can hold hate.

Anybody that isn't brain-dead can tank up until Haukke Manor. At that point it requires you to actually exert a little bit of brain power regarding your CDs, and I don't know about dungeons past that but I know they get progressively harder.

Also GLA blows pre-30 (probably post-30 too but I assume it at least gets a tiny bit more interesting to play at that point). I seem to run out of TP faster, do less damage and don't hold hate as well as I do on MRD. The only upside is I take slightly less damage.

Did some Halatali runs as GLA today and the bosses took at least 50% longer than they did while I was on MRD.

It's not just tanks, 90% of the people who play are fucking idiots. Tanking (or rather keeping aggro) is super easy here so generally you'll just be dealing with fight mechanics like on any other class. Of course some fights like the Brayflox final boss are 100% reliant on your tank, but there's also plenty where you have less to deal with, where you'll just sit there mindlessly spamming your rotation and using stun.

I really hope the moratorium on how to beat it stays the way it is, but I know some faggots from reddit and going to white knight/attention whore their way to telling the world the easy way to do something rather than let people enjoy figuring it out for themselves.

Took us a run (90m) to figure out the first boss of turn one. Literally as soon as you enter the Coil, 90m gone. If I had read a guide on how to beat it, I could have done it with my group in 2-3 attempts. Was more fun getting to figure it out.

Why do low level tanks suck? Because it's low level or because niggas are still new. Also there is a huge disparity between solo play and party play. That said, there are some really dumb fucker here but I ain't about to be mad because someone's threat bar is not as high as it could be. Current mentality seems to be, "lol I'm gonna spam, make sure you hold hate!" Which works sometimes and not so great other times. Don't know what the fuck I'm talking about, my highest class is 26 gld. Too busy trying to complete fishing log.
The thing I actually hate is motherfuckers ignoring my marks. I MARKED THEM SHITS ONE THROUGH FOUR! FUCK IS EVERYTHING ATTACKING SOMETHING DIFFERENT FOR!?

Oh man today I was asked if I was new at tank classes (I kinda am, as this is the first game I'm actively pursuing being a tank). When I said no and asked why (this was during the first pull), they told me to mark targets.

Nigga if you can't figure out which target the tank is attacking out of 3 trash mobs you need to uninstall the game. I said there is zero reason to mark trash mobs. I then proceeded to mark them randomly and not follow the numerical order, if they were even marked with the numbers. I was using the playstation button symbols and everything.

He didn't say a word the rest of the run but the other two guys laughed about it.
