I'm glad they nerfed the speed runs. Granted they should have given incentive to not do it instead of putting up walls without rebalancing the dungeon around those walls.
Speed runs and stupid crap like that is why I quit GW2. I enjoy actually playing the game, not finding ways to bypass 70% of it. I didn't do those stupid CoF speedruns, I did AC all 3 paths in a little over an hour and made a respectable amount of money in the process. I liked that dungeon. And then they decided to put unnecessary cockblocks and broken mechanics that ruined the dungeon and made CoF the only viable way to make money. I don't even understand why they chose to completely unbalance the most balanced dungeon in the game in terms of time:reward ratio. To my knowledge they haven't even implemented that garbage to the other dungeons like they said they were going to 5 months ago.
SE needs to tread extremely lightly here because after XI and GW2 being ruined for me I'm not giving them a second chance if they make a major mistake with XIV. I know a lot of people who feel the same way.
Can't wait.
There is literally nothing to do in this game outside of Coil for Legacy players. I don't even really want to complain about that because Coil is pretty fun.
-There could be complaints made though, because it is fairly difficult and as such won't have a lot of longevity even for Legacy players because while I think Yoshi's estimate of 100 is low, it's probably not far off either.
-What happens in 2.1 when all that's released is Moogle, some mysterious Primals (maybe) and Crystal Tower? Crystal Tower is a lower level dungeon than what we have out now, there is literally no reason to do it if you are even semi competent enough to farm up to Turn 4 of Coil.
-If Yoshi is waaaay off in his estimation and a good portion of people complete Coil, what happens when these people get extremely bored and un-sub? Cancelling doesn't just mean that person gets bored, but so do the other people they may play with in their guilds and linkshells as well.
Content was one of my bigger concerns coming into 2.0 and I'm still fairly concerned.
shouldn't have rolled legacy lolz
Yes, I should have deleted the character I paid them money to play with.
I'd literally be in the same boat but maybe a week behind, I don't see the argument as relevant.
twas just a joke capn
I'm not so concerned with that because I have been taking my time leveling and I don't seem to have much of an attention span anymore for reasons I can only guess at, so on average I can only manage to play for a few hours at a time before I have to take a break to go do something else.
Things that are of immediate concern to me are the upcoming Dailies. As a completionist those are my worst nightmare. Again drawing on my experience with GW2... I tolerated them up until they added laurels. Any system that forces you to login each day to accomplish a specific task lest you fall behind is retarded. I'm not talking about "hey I don't play as much and my friends outleveled me" I'm talking about 'in order to attain this item you have to complete this specific task once a day for 20 days, and if you miss a day that's 1 day extra until you can get it.' Anything that's gated behind time like that is absolutely horrible and is on par with Assault tag bullshit from XI. Let me play the content as often as I want and attain stuff at the rate I want.
God help me if they tie in achievements with dailies. I'll probably just straight up quit if they pull that nonsense.
Achievements were the worst thing to happen to gaming.
I 100%'d FF8 because I wanted to and it gave me enjoyment. Now when I aim to 100% a game it feels like a job.
Being fruity and seeing you in that pose reminds me of Mumor from FFXI...
I kind of knew that but I have no idea how many tokens you get per run vs. how many you can get per day/week cause I haven't bothered to look it up. As long as it's somewhat reasonable I can live with it but it's still retarded. The major thing that bugged me about it in GW2 was that GW2 didn't have a sub fee so there was literally zero reason to put in that kind of time-gating aside from them being complete and utter assholes.
you get approx 40-50 per run and 300 per week
40 is Amdapor Keep, 50 is Coil of Bahamut
idiots playing the shit out of shit (1.0) just to realize theres nothing but grinding to do for them in arr. who could have seen this coming? at least they got ahead of others in a vidya
gratz all
anyway mmo gamers favorite pastime is to go on a bitchfest when theres no option to adjust the transparency of the pet interface / target the target of your current targets npc etc. crucial ui options so no biggie, just niiro it up and show how much you enjoy playing a video game
Guys! Help! I'm in GAY LOVE with Rocl's character!
Is there some FFXIV camp I can attend to get cured?
